Her big brother took me out for my first time today. He seems to be even more intense then the last game.

So they changed Azure a bit this time? Can only imagine how nightmarish Gold and Silver will be. lol

The nice part is that the hunter card does not show your failed quests.

I'm going online here in hopes that someone wants to spam low rank Gore for a bit. I want some parts from him for armor and weapons. If you like to join or do whatever my passcode is 7777. Remember i'm only HR3.

I finally got all of the tickets I need for the Zelda armor. Sure I still need 2 more Rajang parts to actually finish it, but I can get those outside of the Three Virtues quest.

Thanks @MorphMarron for the help and support! Those were some fun and interesting quests. I think at one point I hit that queen no less then 20 times in a row before she moved or finally hit me. We wrecked her and fast. Rory must of tore up the other one because I hit him all of once or twice unless you hit him more.

Ugh, what's with the Kinsect sometimes? Trying to upgrade the Glaive, but the stupid bug won't take any more Speed nectar, and I need points in that area to upgrade. >.>

Haha I'm still pretty surprised I could stay on top of the giant desert monster until he decided to jump over the ship, I hit him until my Hunting Horn was on the red.

Also thanks for the hunts, and thanks to the other two hunters I now have an almost complete high rank Jaggi armor. Just missing one part.

The other Hunters were @Rorylee and his brother. Rory's from here just doesn't post much.

I think each of the three main stats maxes out around 150. Until you reach that, you should be able to keep adding nectar. Of course, once the green bar fills up, you have to upgrade before feeding more food to the Kinsect.

Best upgrade path to take is feed power until you reach around 96, get to level 4 where you're given 4 branching paths, and choose FoeBeetle on top. Top is the power branch, second is stamina branch, third is speed branch, fourth is evenly balanced among the three.

But if you choose the power branch and keep upgrading, you can end up with the best glaive in the game. Gives Attack Up Large and double the effect time for the Kinset buffs, so instead of 60 seconds you can get 2 minutes. I've got like 6 glaives I'm upgrading right now, and although it's tempting to give speed right away, stick with power until you hit 96 then dump speed into it. It'll pay dividends later.

I haven't played much Monster Hunter before 4U. What kind of activated skills would you like to have from the armor sets you might forge? Since I don't understand it, I have been mainly using armors with either increasing health, Elemental attacks or defense. But since you also could eat meals to increase your health, you don't necessarily have to have an armor set with increasing health. Any suggestions?

Wish I knew that before upgrading my kinsect for the first time. I just went for the neutral upgrade. If I do power from now on can I still salvage it?

@Konda The types of skills you want really depend on your weapon choice and fighting style. Personally for blademasters I would highly recommend making some decorations for speed sharpening. You can forge decorations at the armor forging guy and then set them into slots in the armor. 1 Grinder decoration gives +2 sharpening so make five.

You basically answered your own question there at the end. Eating is a nice supplement to the skills.

It really depends on what your hunting tbh. Let's just say we'll use Gore for this example. Would you like to trap him? If so a nice armor set that does speed trap and trap guru is a nice set up. Or maybe you just want to kill him and get the most attack out of your armor. Yes you can eat for attack but more attack power also helps. More elemental attack would be even better. Last example here, he's kicking your behind and you don't know what to do. Eat for defense and make a nice set that can gives you more. It also helps to get the feline defense lo or hi to reduce damage. It's random but when you see like weird sparkles around your character that's when the felines defense triggered and lowered the amount of damage to you.

This game is so deep and so many combinations you can choose. You will find a few that will suit your play style but I like to base mine mostly on what the main hunt is.

Well, I WAS thinking of going online last night...hate to say this, but Pink Rathian ruined my Monster Hunter mood for a while. lol

Too bad as we had a strong 3 going till a fourth showed up. Now I'm HR4 and looking for some better armor as mine just went obsolete. At least the set I had did me fine yesterday!

For High Rank I went with Hermitaur's, lol
I need something that's god against Thunder though, especially if I'm going to deal with Rajang soon. >.>

We could hunt some great jaggies later if you want. I kinda need to compete the set too.

Anyways I may go online tonight, thinking of going ahead and raising my rank to HR5. Might even record a video or two, lol
