The one thing that did annoy me about 4 was that the Underground Volcano area that was just a re-skin of the Sunken Hollow. I wish they had just retrofitted the volcano with climbing elements. That area was so cool, it had a great progression, from jungle to blazing caldera, and a great sense of scale. I still remember standing on the ridge and looking at the cinders spewed up into the air and looking across the burning land to see the waves lapping the shore in the distance.
It's weird, because I feel like 3 Ultimate had a better set of areas overall, even if I prefer the Ancestral Steppe to the Deserted Island, the Primeval Forest to the the Flooded Forest, and the Frozen Seaway to the Tundra.
And of course some idiot on Youtube spams one of my MH4U videos. >_>
Anyways I think they just liked it because the thing was already creepy, and no music playing made it creepier. lol

Keep it PG-13-ish.
I've only just really discovered MH4U - never played any of the MH series before until the demo before 4U came out. I'm absolutely loving it so far! Still trying to get my head around some of the mechanics of the whole thing, but it's really good fun so far!
Does anyone have any tips for retaining my Stamina as I'm finding it going down pretty quickly - I'm not running everywhere, just to rule that out!
MH is a great series. You'll enjoy it if you stick with it. It isn't just running that depletes stamina. Blocking and evading also drain stamina. There are also negative skills that make stamina depletion happen quicker. Certain status effects mess with how fast stamina gets restored.
Also, you need to keep an eye on your stamina bar. After awhile, the bar will shrink and if you let it get too low, running will be impossible and evading and blocking will be difficult.
So, the most important thing to do is keep that stamina bar at it's maximum capacity. Eating rations and steaks will solve this. There are also skills that enhance the eating and how can slow down the stamina depletion. As far as status effects are concerned, you need to either wait them out or consume whatever item will cure it.
Just found out I've been using the long sword all this time and I haven't even been using the spirit attacks to boost my damage output. Glad I watched the weapon tutorial for this.

Remember you can make some super long combos by pressing R between regular attacks.
If you make a really good one you will boost your attack even more.

Noob. Lol, I don't know or understand half the weapons either. I usually stick with what I know and that's about it. I need to branch out a bit though.
Also went online for the first time today with @Windy and @Weavius and had a good time. Only took 3 runs to get my G Jaggi armor and like how online seems to be more streamlined. Great times are ahead! I'll check to see who's online on my friends list often so don't be surprised if I just pop in.
Anyone know where I can find "Sharp Fangs"? Also, @MorphMarron, thanks for responding to my question about laying traps earlier, you were quick! I asked that question and then figured it out, so I deleted it. Anyways, thanks for all the help so far everyone.
