You can mine Armor Spheres using a pickaxe at mining spots. They're quite rare! You can also carve them from Konchus but it's a low drop rate.
You can combine these to get Armor Spheres:
Machalite Ore + Armor Stone
Glueglopper + Armor Stone
Where do I get Armor Stones from?
Easier answer, use the Everwood area, hunt monsters and make custom Guild Quests from that. Use those quests, though the monsters will get stronger after each successful hunt there.

I'm sorry for the dumb question, but where/how do I make Custom Quests & where is Everwood?
The fight with the Frenzied Tigrex was absolutely exhilarating! When I watched the first MH4 trailer, I saw all the crazy jumping around and thought they'd never be able to make the game feel like that. Was I ever so wrong. Almost the whole fight was in area 9, and I was running away like a madman, climbing up vines and leaping off cliffs. Nothing beats the feeling of finishing a hunt by jumping off a 10-meter cliff and shoving a Great Sword in some overgrown dinosaur's face.
On the other hand, Shagaru was a lot easier than I expected.
I played Monster Hunter Tri and didn't like it. I played 3 Ultimate on Wii U and didn't like it. I figured I'd give this series one more shot and got 4 Ultimate, and it finally clicked for me. Now I am totally addicted. I can't wait to hunt down the next big monster.

One thing that is annoying is if you are doing some attacks and you are moving the circle pad you don't move right after you attack and need to let it go and then move it again to move unless it rarely happens or it's my circle pad but it's good and responsive!
Anyways I'm just trying to finish off these beginners quests to move one, need more stuff of course to improve what I got.
is there a recommended set of armour after the jaggi set or should I just pick what looks cool? and where is the screen that shows what my current set gives me stat wise or isn't there one? wouldn't want to downgrade as it were from the jaggi set
still haven't fainted and just beat the big rock monster in the expedition section
