Looking forward to it. It still seems like a work-in-progrss build to me.

yeah the textures on the ground look really bad, but if someone can bring great graphics to the 3DS it is capcom.

mhtrig for 3ds looks better than this so i am confident that capcom will make the game look better. one year till release in japan. should be enough time

Well, I just looked into it. They used old music in the trailer. I think the game must be about 50-70% finished.

Unlike with 3G, I'm about 80% sure this will get released outside of Japan. Though when 4 comes out here, I'll get it right away.

BTW, the game doesn't seem to have a finalized title yet. The katakana for the game so far still just says "Monster Hunter" モンスターハンター, with no number in the title yet. 2 was Dos, 3 was Tri. It seems they haven't decided on the actual title for 4 yet.

Not a fan of the series, but it does look good. Nintendo were really smart about getting it on their system, should increase sales quite a lot in Japan.

No. Look at Monster Hunter Tri for Wii. It came out on early August 2009 in Japan, and was released into the other regions at late April 2010. If anything, I would expect an April 2013 date for Monster Hunter 4 in Japan and April 2014 in the other regions.

The world and landscapes look BEAUTIFUL. Some locales and textures do remind me of Kid Icarus Uprising though. But that's a good thing.

Monster Hunter For

Yeah, from the trailer it looks like there's still quite a lot of work to do.
I'm sure the final product will look great though as I've seen someone playing 3G and it looks great.
Pretty confident that this one will make it to the West, so let's just hope the wait isn't too long.

Looks like the 3DS sales are going to sky-rocket again in Japan next year.

The textures look horrible. D: There's so many jaggies going on in the trailer, if you pause at 1:08 and look at the mountain in the distance it looks really nasty and the ground doesn't seem to flow too well and the tree's look pretty disgusting as well... definitely still a work in progress. Can't wait to see it hit the Western market Capcom!

I thought it looked horrific. I realize the 3DS isn't a graphical powerhouse, but there's no way they can't substantially improve on that. Hopefully there's still some work to be done in that department.

I have to agree with AlexSays about how it looks right now. I'd rather it be on more powerful hardware if they can't improve upon the current look.

I agree with AlexSays. I wanted to like it, I really did, but the ground it just a flat, fuzzy texture.

This will be my first MH game, unless 3G comes westward before it.

But at least let us see footage of it on a real 3DS screen. Videos on YouTube don't do it justice. You should realize this, people.

Still, the increased mobility of the avatar looks like it will be an interesting gameplay hook. Let's hope they don't sacrifice the game's trademark strategic gameplay in favor for the more climatic ones with style over substance. I want challenging gameplay like Tri uncasualized. For the fans. Capcom, you've already killed off Mega Man, don't send Monster Hunter to an early death with dumbed-down gameplay.

...Then again, Monster Hunter was always geared toward Japanese gamers, who admittedly love their Monster Hunter the way it is. So maybe the increased mobility will enchance the already challenging gameplay.
