This is practically the same layout as the 3DS's, except the d-pad and slider-pad are switched around. From what I heard, you get used to moving the camera around with the d-pad.
Right, and there's always L for centering camera. But... Start and select are switched. At least the X and O are like ccp and not like most where x is accept and b is back.

Eh...kinda seems difficult to deal with when fighting a monster like Barioth.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
I'm used to the "claw" (where thumb goes on left thumbstick for movement, index finger goes on D-pad for camera control) thanks to the Classic Controller 2 setting in MH3. It works perfectly once you get used to it. However... it's impossible on the 3DS. The slider being on top kind of makes no sense IMO and it was one thing I was worried about when I first saw it.
I do not like Monster Hunter at all, I hope Nintendo doesn't bring that to the 3DS.

So many Awesome video games coming out this year! So many games so little money! Crap!
Digitaloggery 3DS FC: Otaku1 WiiU: 013017970991 Nintendo of Japan niconico community is full of kawaii! Must finish my backlagg or at least get close this year W...
Like I said, having a "transparent" analogue in the bottom right of the touch screen is another idea folks And it doesn't even have to be the WHOLE screen. Just small (maybe a tad smaller than the slide pad).

Yeah, that's really kinda selfish. I don't care for Mario Kart or Paper Mario, so I hope both ideas are trashed. It just doesn't make sense, everyone has opinions. Also, Capcom makes and publishes the games, not nintendo. I don't thinnk nintendo they would pass an opportunity to make lots o' cash from MH lovers buying a 3DS just for the game.

Yeah this. That's a very selfish stance to take. I personally don't like Zelda at all, so by that logic I hope Nintendo never releases OoT or any other Zelda game on the 3DS ever.
Oh nooo it turns out they're releasing OoT 3DS! My purchasing and playing decisions are clearly out of my control! Look, suddenly it's on my shelf at home! Now I have to play a game I don't like! OMG how dare Nintendo do this to me! I'm going to buy a Kinect in retaliation! That'll teach Nintendo for making games!
But let's be frank here. Nintendo is a business and it will release any game as long as A) it has the chance to make money for Nintendo and 2) it won't reflect poorly on Nintendo's public image. Monster Hunter is clearly within those requirements, Kirin armour and all.
^ Having the camera controls right below the hunter controls is fail as all get. How are supposed to move both at the same time? (Which you constantly have to do in the game)
I agree with this. Nintendo should not overlook the dual analog.

My friends gave it a bad review and folks I've talked to said it was really lame also the employees at the GameStop where I live said it was really bad. I tried it for myself wasn't very pleased. GameStop was giving the game away free and no one was even taking it. And my brother got it and tried selling the game online but no one bought it and he was selling it really cheap, its still sitting in his drawer.
But I don't mind you guys liking it, this is just my point of view and my opinion.

While I'd like MH3DS, I would never turn 3D on as MH3's camera already gives me a little motion sickness and a camera like that isn't good for 3D. Unless they use...lock on. Also it would help if they made the game a little easier, at least raise the max health. I mean come on, a low rank Rathian can kill you in 2 hits, even in solo?

From what I've seen, you either love or hate Monster Hunter. It's also better with friends.
How about the title can be called Monster Hunter 4: Prime. I put a 4 because the Wii had MH3:Tri.
Well it's not that the game would be called Monster Hunter 3DS. It's just kind of a temporary name so that we can refer to the Monster Hunter game that [WILL] be on the 3DS. twitch
