I've seen a lot of comments on this thread about people taking Miiverse to seriously, but I don't think any of you understand the real problem because you haven't been faced with it or have ever been banned. I'll try to clarify why it's bad to get banned, and why the system is broken.
Let's start by saying Nintendo's Miiverse is rife with abuse. All it takes is for you to get an active interest in the Steel Divers: Sub Wars community, and before long someone will target you.
A player named UltraMax rage quit on me several times during matches, so I blocked the player in my 3DS game. He then made a post on Miiverse asking why I blocked him. My first mistake was to answer this post. I stated "You rage quit, and you're a sore loser.". He flagged this post as bullying, and stated he has poor internet. Later he rage quit on a player named Pete, and accused Pete of rage quitting. Pete made a post defending himself, and this prompted me to block UltraMax on Miiverse as well. Later I made a post on Pete's post that stated "Pete, you don't rage quit, but UltraMax does." Of course he flagged this as bullying, and that was that. I'm now banned.
The problems I see with this whole thing. The fact that blocking someone on Miiverse doesn't make them disappear from the planet like Facebook or Google+. It just hides the individuals posts like spoilers. Nintendo needs to change that immediately! A blocked individual can still report people who've blocked them let alone see any post of that individual.
The banning system is automatic. If you're reported X number of times for bullying, then you'll receive an automatic ban. I've appealed to the Miiverse admins, but they're very slow to actually look at posts, and when they do they have never sided in my favor. I have only ever stated facts. I've never picked on the individual or attacked them verbally. Moral of the story, if you state facts about an individual which are negative, then that is considered bullying FYI.
Lastly, when banned you no longer have the ability to yeah, or even report the negative comments of the individual who reported you. Worst of all, you lose the ability to message your friends (something you can do if you have a Wii U). This really limits your ability to setup friend matches. This is probably the worst for me, because your online purchases while tied to the Wii U and 3DS you bought them on are also tied to your NNID. If this get permanently banned, then you can never setup friend matches for those games via Nintendo's messaging service as it stands today. That needs to change, because the banning system is a joke, and is too easy to exploit. The friend messaging service needs to be separate from Miiverse.
I hope I've clarified why it's a bigger deal than some of you think it is.

The biggest problem I had with Miiverse was one time when we were joking about all the little kids trying to start relationships. I said (jokingly, obviously) "im 9 n redy 2 mingl b my gf plz". But, since I said I was an age that didn't match the one I had already established, that comment was deleted. I didn't even know why. Later, that led to my NNID becoming unusable, but I had no idea the two were related, since it just said the NNID could not be used and gave an error code. Since I took too long to call them, they deleted that NNID. That could have been avoided if they would just tell you not to do that and the consequences.

Actually that's a lol story! 😄

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.

Pfff. You call that a banned?
Try being ban from ever going through the doors of Nintendo of America. I can't even get as close as 10 ft. with out Reggie blocking the door >:[
As for Miiverse. It's purpose is to post silly jokes, what you ate for dinner, to brag about how many stamps you have or if "Jellyfish is helping. Yes." If it's not any of those things, then you are doing it wrong.
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...

Actually, not really... I lost all of my downloaded 3DS and Wii U games because of it, as well as my progress in all of my Wii U games. I did eventually get everything back by calling customer service, though.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

All I can take is that it's best to ignore and/or report trolls and not to feed them. This is true across the internet and is nothing absolutely new. YOU made the mistake of feeding them.

I've only gotten a 3 deleted posts, 2 of which from a person who decided to flag every single one of my comments to troll me and what did I take from the experience Miiverse mostly consists of stupid people and I should stick to the POTD.
Actually, you better not otherwise you'll get banned.
Anyway, what I was trying to explain in so many words is illustrated best by Musterd. If your NNID is permanently banned, then you can forget using Nintendo services to setup friend play with any digital games you own tied to that NNID. With the current system it's best to stick with physical releases allowing you to delete and create NNID's at will.
I for one will not be purchasing any more digital titles which include friend play. That pretty much leaves only VC titles of old.
Sure, sounds good. I'm hoping with the inclusion of friend play we can get some really high level play going on, and improve our team tactics! Wish they would have implemented actual clans and clan play though. It's a pain to exchange friend codes.
Luckily, I had an alternate account that I made in case my main one got restricted, so I still had my friends and followers. But my NNID wasn't banned, it was deleted with no warning. The only problem with Miiverse is that the administration system can be a little ridiculous at times. Other than that, I love Miiverse, I'm on it all the time.
The only trolly stuff that has happened to me in miiverse was that time when some dude asked me if I hated my country because most of my posts are in English.
@BodyOrgan: thanks for taking the time posting that G! i'm sure you realize that some users here dont really see the big picture. btw, when can i expect to see you back?
@brokenfang: Yes, it's the classic case of I'm not affected therefore there is no problem. I shouldn't have expected any different. I've been banned about 4 days now, so it will be another week and a half before I'm allowed to post again. Provided a Miiverse admin doesn't side with me by some miracle.
Look's like the ban's and Admin notices for SDSW's just keeps on hitting!!!!!!!! I would so loved to query their database to see the trend on the person(s) clicking the volition button!!!!!! Just takes all the fun out of it!!
