Miitopia has gotten a trademark in North America according to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Does this mean Miitopia is getting localized?

I hate the Mii maker in Switch. I also hate how the keyboards have been handled. On 3DS and Wii U, I can just browse for whatever characters I need by moving to the next page(s) (I'm of Turkish background, and some of our names have different characters that I can only access via Character Map). In my eyes, the 3DS/Wii U keyboard was just perfect and they had to screw it up with the Switch. -.- There are many non-standard characters that I have no idea how to access now because the Switch has some 15 keyboards, most of which have the same characters between them. Why could we not have had ONE keyboard with ALL of the characters in one place and split between a few pages? For the foreseeable future, I can see myself continuing to make Miis with the 3DS and Wii U and transferring them to Switch in order to ensure that people's names are correctly spelled (the 3DS in-system keyboard was especially useful for typing in people's full names in Tomodachi Life).

Back on topic though, Miitopia is likely to be released this year in order to pad out the barren release schedule for the 3DS. But yes, I would much rather see Tomodachi Life on Switch instead. That's the sort of silly game that one would like to show off to a group of family/friends.

Miitopia's localization is now confirmed! There's no solid release date besides 2017.

This looks like a totally goofy game. I might pick it up for my kids to play around with, but I can't see myself wanting to play it.

The demo is now available on the eshop. I've already given it a try, but will have to play some more to decide if I want to buy it. From what I've seen so far it's definitely goofy. Right now I have Miyamoto as a Cleric, and myself as a Fighter. And as for the Dark Lord, I have set out to defeat Dark Lord Tingle!

I have Iwata as the Dark Lord. It was the only other Mii I have on my system. I have Anouma as a warrior and Bowser as a cleric and Nikki as a pop star. I'm loving this game. It's quite fun and I love that you can transfer your save data to the full game.

Want: Ever Oasis, SoS Trio of Towns, Dragon Quest 8, Pikmin 3DS, Mario Sports Superstars, and Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World.
Playing Skytree Village, Moon, Sun and Alpha Sapphire right now.
Loving the Alola region and can't wait to explore it all.

The save data transfer is definitely a plus. On a related note, I definitely liked the Pokémon Sun/Moon and Bravely Default demos, and how they would transfer items from the demo to the full game. I haven't gotten either game yet, but I definitely love that implementation as well.

I played a little more and was able to use my Amiibo as well. I only have Wolf Link and Wooly Yoshi, but it was definitely nice to get some rewards for those.

same here....i have a bunch of amiibos though. I ended up dying in this underground cavern battling these baddies called banshees.....it's definitely not any easy game by any means

My husband downloaded the demo and wouldn't stop sending me hilarious screenshots while I was at work today.
He's only recently gotten into JRPGs, which this game isn't exactly, but he's obsessed with the demo.
Safe to say we're buying it day one.

I didn't know there was a demo, now I'm watching vinesauce streaming it.

Looks nice.

I beat the demo as well, and actually had some fun playing it all the way through. I had to revive a character when facing the banshees for the first time, but that was the only time. I'll probably play the demo again, just so I can see what the Thief and Pop Star do.

I like how the relationship between characters plays a role in the battle, and how even the relationships between characters can grow while battling. If the full game has as many surprises as the demo has, I'll probably add this game to my list of games to get.

LegendOfPokemon

The concept is great, but I'm not a huge fan of the gameplay. I enjoyed the demo, but I don't think I'll be buying the full game.

Playing through the demo, and I'm enjoying it; I'm glad we finally get a full fledged game where Miis matter, TL didn't do it for me.

However, I have two notable problems with the game. First is grub, which I never seem to have enough of. Thankfully there's no penalty for not feeding party members, but they keep asking for food and I just don't have any!!!

The big problem I have is that you can only control your main character! Like, what? It's an RPG for crying out loud! I don't want my thief to stupidly set a trap when he could have defeated three enemies with one sweeping attack, and now two party members get cut to 0 hp! If they wanted the game to be easy for new players, they already have autobattle implemented. On top of that, the traits are also randomly activated, so it feels like an RNG fest, which turns it from a game into a movie.

So I'm not sure if I'm getting it yet. Hey! Pikmin might have a higher priority at this point.

Finally played the demo myself. It's really, really charming. It's a very interesting social/fantasy life SIM heavily disguised as an RPG. I'm enjoying having Miis of people like Arin & Danny from Game Grumps and basically play a game with them as protagonists, alongside my husband and I. It's really funny and cute, with a lot of addictive elements.

When the full game releases... I kinda wanna make Miis of an FFVII party and watch everyone act like goofballs.

I had a lot of fun with the demo. I made Guy Fieri the Dark Lord and made my character a Chef. There were certainly some hilarious quips between the two.

I may end up buying this. It's really charming, although I do with there was more control or predictability to the other party members. Turn order in combat also seems completely random.
