I wonder if the original 8-bit game will be added in as a bonus or DLC?
*Games. Metal Gear 1, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, and Metal Gear 2 Snake's Revenge (Which isn't apart of the storyline and isn't included in Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistance).
Either way this game will be stupid. Such a waste of time and money.
Worthwhile? You mean like... Here lemme quote mah rant on it
Too bad they completely ruined the game with the remake, from the broken gameplay to the crazy over-the-top cutscenes and the bland graphics... Just look at MGS2 which was released 2 years earlier, or MGS3 released the same year as this for examples. Even just the facial expressions, Snake's looks exactly the same no matter what is going on around him. Again, compare to MGS2 (2002) which had subliminal little face movements during certain emotional scenes, while this one snake has that stupid goofy expression on his face even when Grey Fox dies and he shouts his name. The gameplay was made too easy since the areas weren't suited for the type of overhaul that the controls/camera received. They should have put way more attention to detail, especially for a MG game. Disappointing, but at least it got some people into the MGS series. I would recommend the PS1 original way more than this if you have the option.
So your picking on Twin Snakes. Okay, sure, the facial expressions were "goofy" to you and this make it bad why? How does this effect the overall game so much you have to rant about it? Come on now. And bland graphics is obviously your opinion. Now about the broken gameplay? How is it broken?
Either way at least Twin Snakes had:
An overhaul to the cinematics
New comfortable controls (superior controls)
First person view
An overhaul on the graphics
MGS2's phsyics engine
New voice acting
New music
MGS3D has new graphics and it's portable. Yay.
Just for you. "I'm just a musical prostitute, my dear." - Freddie Mercury
Like I said, the original game areas weren't designed around the ability to shoot in first person, so it removes much of the difficulty of the original game. also, new voice acting and music are cons imo. Actually, everything you listed are cons imo, but whatev' it's just my and probably only my opinions. Nothing can match the greatness of the first~
They are doing something different with the controls at least, though we don't know if that will be a good thing or not yet. Also, they'll have to change something else, the AP sensor won't work with no rumble xP
Edit: Wait no, I think the AP sensor thing makes beeping noises... ah well, MGS isn't as good with no rumble anyway D:
But I guess, it's portable, and being on the 3DS it'll have people buying it who've never played it before.
I think making Snake Eater on 3DS when you have a Collection of Metal Gear games on the HD consoles plus Vita is sorta dumb. Unless it takes full advantage of 3DS' full suite of gimmicks and adds new areas (which I doubt), I really don't see reason for this release.

I've heard it uses the camera to change your camouflage... which I find pointless. It also uses the gyro-motion-whatever to balance when walking on small places... again, pointless.
The nice Vita version will definitely be better than this, but for people who only have a 3DS I guess it's good...
Hope Nintendo expands connectivity between 3DS and WiiU. Gamecube had some real fun GBA to GCN games. DS to Wii.. Not so much. The crossplatform play of FFCC Echoes of Time was neat...
I might as well hold off to get MGS Collection on Vita, then. Then wait for Vita slim... Surely the collection won't be for sale after 3 years have passed...

Not really. If you own an HD console you can play three games in the series at a decent price.
Also I should clarify my original statement. The gimmicks should be used effectively and new areas is a necessity at this point. I'd hope for an online mode like subsistance but I won't hold my breath.
