Topic: "Met via Invitation"

Hi, quick question as I'm new here.
When you meet people via invitation (say from playing Mario Kart 7 online), sometimes their mii's will appear in my Super Mario 3D Land in the form of those huts that give you presents. In addition to the presents that you can get in 3D Land, does anyone know if you also receive the player's time attack data? Or can you only receive new time attack data in 3D Land from people you meet in person?

I'm not sure about your question. I think no, but I could be wrong. I never used that feature.

Here's the thing,
The "Met by Invitation" title means you found them, but they are useless in most cases.
Time Attack is a Streetpass feature, not an "Invitation" feature
You can only get Time Attacks in Streetpassing
However I am confused by the whole "Invitation" idea.
Ya see. I went to a LoZ:SS pre launch party, and I met people "via invitation"
I would guess it's just people who are owned by Nintendo

Thanks guys, this was helpful. I've decided to simply turn off the via Invitation feature in the Streetpass Plaza.

I turned that off too. I didn't want my plaza over run by Miis I randomly raced in MK7.

I turned it off as well. I like to see the people I've streetpassed because some of them are people I've actually talked to. I turned ot on once and did something like 3 races in MK7 and got 40+ new Miis. It took forever to delete them all. LOL.

I could be wrong but, i was playing MK7 a while back and messing with the multiplayer settings and found a way to see all your previous "met by invitation" mii's. I could even see them categorized by the "met by invitation" and those thru "streetpass". It would also tell me if they were currently online or offline. I think it's meant to be kinda like the "Friends" option on the home screen but this one being specific to MK7.

I think it's pretty cool in that if you want to race someone you raced before, just search that list and see if they are online and join their race.

But then again, i could be wrong. I'll check tonight if that's the case.
