Topic: MegaMan Legends 3 Cancelled

aw what a bummer. i was hoping this would be the title to set the bar for 3DSWare. DSiWare has some gems no doubt, but it suffers from an overabundance of shovel games. WiiWare has somewhat escaped that for the most part, and MML3 had me hoping that 3DSWare would be packing some serious quality out the gate...

This is disgusting, Capcom, absolutely disgusting.

That's 2 strikes Capcom, One more and You're finished amongst the eyes of Nintendo fans.

I'm somewhat disappointied in my 3DS at the moment, but I don't want to sell it in fear that they'll release some cool games for it.

Well that sucks... I was looking forward to playing that too... well, aslong as they give us Monster Hunter, all shall be forgiven. _{they also need to release MegaMan 1-11 for the 3DS before the end of this year, otherwise they can go get stuffed}

Well said Phoenix well said. I was looking forward to the prototype version. Hey maybe people who still on Steert fighter for the 3DS should boycot going online and continue to trash the reviews of Resident Evil Mercenaries and demand this game be returned! Or we at least get the prototype. Geez Capcom, street fighter maybe come my first traded in 3DS game!

You can't even release the prototype, Capcom? Take a chance; your fans might like you for it.

Megaman Universe. You can find some videos of it on Youtube. Granted, it wasn't the best looking Megaman game, but the idea was nice and it could have turned out to be great with some tweaks.

You know, I'm a guy who likes video games. I'm a guy who likes the 3DS for many reasons.

I've never experienced Mega Man Legends before, and I thought my gateway into the series would begin with the 3rd entry. Fans have been waiting for it for how long now, a decade? I share in their lamentations, and I understand how much you like to get your priorities straight.

This isn't one of those smart moves. Fanbases have been alienated, games have been canned and even one of your top guys, Keiji Inafune, has left.

Of course, we'll never know what the next move is. You have a long way ahead with Resident Evil: Revelations and Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney being the only top games people are looking forward to.

I regarded you as the best third-party developer on the 3DS, but now it's a toss-up.

Even though there will be no way I'll ever get a decent response to this, I'm just a gamer and that's all I have to say: nothing profane, nothing vulgar, just a thought that has occurred to me.

I'm kinda wondering what was the point of all that crap about getting the fans involved?
They were getting us all excited about letting us take part in it's development.
Then they just wake up one morning and decide.... Screw it you ain't gettin the game.

@Link79 They never promised that the game would be released, they merely gave fans a look inside the production for a game. It's a shame that it got canceled, but they gotta do what they gotta do

I think that this is just Capcom scaling back support for the 3DS after seeing that the 3DS is not selling as well as anticipated.
