A little disappointing news, I just got my Nintendo Power, they gave Mario Tennis Open a 7.0 review.

What did they say about it? The online, customization, levels, offline, etc.
Just for you.

@Chrono_Cross Nintendo Power said their biggest gripe is they never felt the incentive or need to go replay modes once they had finished it. The said it looks nice and plays great though. The special games don't have much replayability in their opinion though. As for online, they make no comment on it other than it exists.

80% from Official Nintendo Magazine.I don't know what they've said about it,just the score.
I want it,but I just hope there's more for the Single Player.

I'm not really bothered by any reviews for this.I know that I'm going to have a lot of fun with it, especially if my Internet works well enough for me to play online.Already paid for my copy in full.

I bought Mario Hoops 3on3 after seeimg it being rated a 6 on IGN. And I thoroughly enjoyed that game. A 7 from Nintendo Power is not stopping me from attaining this game.

Trying to claim how replayable a game this quickly is a bad idea in general that reviewers need to stop pretending they know one way or the other.

Yeah I mean, replayability really is judged by the player to a certain extent. If you really enjoy the game there's nothing stopping you from playing through exhibition modes every now and then. That's what I did on all the Mario sports games I've had.

Also replayability never seems to mean actually replaying parts of the game you've already done. Just call it "Value" or "Amount of Content" or something.

Oh well, I'm pretty surprised though about Nintendo Power's review. They usually always give Nintendo games really high reviews

Nintendo didn't pay them enough

Again... a 7 isn't even close to being bad...

A 7.0 means good, and for most reviewers its like "its not a bad game, but its not amazing either" I'm kind of wanting Mario Tennis Open to be on the "amazing" level.
116. Posted: Thu 3rd May 2012 14:57 BST
It's Mario Tennis... it's never been "amazing". If you liked previous games you should like this one.Edit: It's the same way I feel about this game. I know it's fun but I'm not to wild on getting it. Though I might eventually.

I just hope it's not too simple...afraid I'm going to get bored with it quick after playing the old ones alot before. The RPG thing would have been nice, but oh well. Didn't really expect it anyway. I just feel like, instead of doing that, they wanted to make it more simple again.

@Terave Was it because of the power shots? Because those are pretty much gone.
