okay ik this may sound stupid but can anyone help me get 3 stars in mario kart 7 i already have 2 any good tips or something

Try figuring out when you get the pre-race acceleration boost (Try around the fading of 2 before 1 comes down)

Drift around corners and draft to get your speed up before overtaking a person (and when drifting, drift until you see orange sparks for a Super Mini-Turbo)

The blue shell makes a sound to signal when its about to hit you, so do the cruelest thing on earth and let someone behind you overtake you so they are the one that gets shelled, and then get back in first place

Try your best to have an item equiped at all times as a defense measure; if an item hits you, it will only delete the item currently equiped on your kart.

Grab the max amount of coins possible each track you play through, and try to total 40 coins for each cup.

Also, be in 1st place each time you play (this is a given.)

Another tip that will improve gameplay: jump off before the ramp launches you into mid-air, as mid-air makes you lose speed in the long run. You'll still get the trick boost, though.

Hopping through things that would otherwise slow you down is a great idea
