I'd like to see that one track from N64 with the maze of tracks along mountains and that humongous spinning Yoshi egg.

Can someone remind what the name of that track was?

They seem not to want to remake Rainbow Road courses in the retro cups. I'd personally like to see a Rainbow Cup with all Rainbow Roads. Maybe the 3D effect would be enough to make them change their minds.

And I hadn't thought of it, but it'd be neat to play Kalimari Desert just to go in the tunnel and see the train coming at you in 3D. Scary.

Come on, friends,
To the bear arcades again.

That was Yoshi Valley. The thing that made it so unique was that the positions of the racers were unknown as you raced on it. That would be amusing to happen in online!

Oh, right! I totally forgot about that little feature. It would be pretty fun to have that, and I'm surprised Nintendo hasn't made that stage as a retro stage already, since it was so interesting.

I think it's high time Nintendo put a rainbow road track, preferably the N64 one, in a present day Mario Kart, and there would be no better one than Mario Kart 3DS. Imagine the big fall down that hill at the beginning of the track, those chain chomps chomping by, and the faces of the Mario characters popping out of the screen at you. It would be a beauitful sight, and the sense of depth that the 3D would bring would make the track look massive. The only thing I can think of that would keep it from coming back would be how long it is, but I guess Nintendo would insert several speed ramps to not make it so long. It just wouldn't be the same, but it would be better than not having it at all.

Supernin10do, you forget perhaps the best one: the beach level in Double Dash. That was Sunshine based. Mario Kart Wii is unfortunately your only exception.

Oh yeah... I forgot about that one!

I'm going to copy and paste from my post in another thread that's like this to give my thoughts.

Let's remember that these retro tracks will have to use the 3D to better effect. So with that in mind, I want:

Cup 1
SNES Ghost Valley 1
N64 Kalimari Desert
GBA Riverside Park
GCN Daisy Cruiser
DS Luigi's Mansion
Wii Mushroom Gorge (if they do Wii tracks)

Cup 2
SNES Mario Circuit 1
N64 Toad's Turnpike
GBA Cheese Land
GCN Sherbet Land
DS Waluigi Pinball
Wii Coconut Mall

Cup 3
SNES Donut Plains 2
N64 Royal Raceway (imagine making that huge jump in 3D!)
GBA Sunset Wilds
GCN Dino Dino Jungle
DS Airship Fortress
Wii Maple Treeway

Cup 4
SNES Ice track (don't remember the name)
N64 Rainbow Road (this would look beautiful in 3D!)
GBA Ribbon Road
GCN Bowser's Castle
DS Wario Stadium
Wii Dry Dry Desert

Battle Courses
SNES Battle Course 2
N64 Double Decker
GBA Battle Course 1
GCN Luigi's Mansion
DS Palm Shore
Wii Block Plaza

I wish they could just organize the courses by system and call them: GBA cup, SNES cup, GCN cup, etc. but those are good courses.

Start the entire thing with ghost valley 1? That's not epic enough to be the first track.

This is a signature.
