I have low expectations for this, yet that's a very good thing as I never expect much from sports games. I enjoyed the GameCube entry as much as the next guy, but the atmosphere looks fantastic. And with the 3D effect, I'm sure immersion will be inevitable.

Online multiplayer and an RPG-ish mode do sound swell but nothing will live up to a single card wireless multiplayer option. I'd love to Golf it up with friends offline.

I didn't play the original, but I did play Toadstool Tour and really enjoyed it, so if World Tour is anything like that, then great.

However, given Mario Tennis Open's dumbed-down presentation with no opening introduction and cutscenes, there should be some caution for this new game.

The good thing about the two console versions was that not only were they fun but really good golf games. Up there with the physics of the best of them. Yes its a bit more arcadey but that's the fun part of it. Give me characters to unlock and a course or two and I'm happy. Oh and online is still a must. Not a deal breaker but should be at the very least included.

Agreed; it's probably the biggest Goomba found in any Mario game.

That, or the golf course is truly miniture and the character playing golf shrank.

Can't help but feel this would be better received as a Wii U game.

Still looks good and hopefully it isn't as bare bones as the the Mario tennis game was.

If it sells well, Nintendo just might.

This is the only Mario sport spinoff I need. I'm hoping for some high quality features and 3D here Camelot better just do it.

In today's Nintendo Direct, it was announced that this game will have online and will have online communities similar to Mario Kart 7. They can be based on themes and ways to play.

Iwata didn't announce a release date, so this is probably coming pretty late this summer, such as after Mario & Luigi.

To this day, I still introduce people to Toadstool Tour and I have yet to find a person that doesn't love it. Even casual gamers seem to take to it in moments. Needless to say, I can't wait for this one and I'm genuinely excited to compete with all of you when we get a community going. :D

I hope we get a release date at E3 and more details via N Direct or demos at that time. This is my most wated game this summer/year after Mario Kart 8 and online communities will be sweet.

This could be good, but I'm still a wee bit unsure about it,because of the half arse job Camelot did on Tennis Open.

I really want this to be good. I'm trying not to get too excited about this game because of what happened to Mario Tennis. But hey, what can I say? I am "the glass is half full" kind of guy. Really looking forward to this.

I loved the Nintendo 64 game, I played with that very-very much! I hope, the 3DS version will be great as well.

I'm glad about read good opinions about the GC and GBA versions, I planned to get them too, they were missed in my life.

This game has been delayed to 2014. I'm a little disappointed, but at least it's one less game for me to get in an already busy year. Besides, after a somewhat shallow game like Mario Tennis Open, I hope this means that Camelot is going to make Mario Golf: World Tour more robust in its presentation.
