LOL. I thought of this a couple of years ago and can't believe that Nintendo didn't put their unique spin on what is now one of the most popular genres.
I envision mario with a Koopa shell firing bazooka and sniping bowser from afar with a luma sniper I'm sure the genius behind Mario Galaxy could make a really fun ,different FPS.Whether they will though is another matter.

What's this bit for again?

Ewwww....no.

Anyway, Nintendo isn't one to "jump on the bandwagon". They don't usually join in on what everyone else is doing. Instead, they innovate and come up with their own trends that everyone else follows. That's what makes Nintendo Nintendo. I would cry if I see the day Nintendo makes a Mario-themed FPS. There are already WAAAAAAAAAY too many of them out there.

Japanese companies are not exactly renowned for coming up with quality FPSers.. and I'm not sure Nintendo would understand what makes a good FPSer.

There was a snowball fight game on Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics, and that was about as close to FPSer as I would suspect you will find.

But this is NIntendo were talking about , I doubt they would just create bald space marine simulator 5 in brown and grey. Personally I'd love to see what they would come up with ,I reckon the multiplayer would be insane!

So that's where the Super Scope in the Smash Bros. series came from...

Well, Nintendo will stick the Mario name on anything they think they can make a buck on.

A Yoshi's Safari sequel or a spiritual successor to it would be nice. It was a fun little game on the SNES, and I enjoyed making a YouTube run through it. It would probably lose something from being on a handheld though. The most unique thing I can think of would be moving the handheld around to aim, which would probably get tiring pretty quickly.

Something like the Wii Zapper would be more fitting, but I can't really see it standing out in the crowd unless they added a lot of new junk and obviously some sort of multiplayer feature. Just Yoshi's Safari as it was 15 years ago wouldn't exactly stand out from the crowd methinks. They'd have to come up with something much more fresh and unique.
