How fun is this game?! I'm about 15 hours in, at Mount Pajamaja. I can't get over how amazing this game is. It's fun to play, it's beautiful, it has great music, it's funny. I know there have been other threads about it but I just had to mention it again. It's the most satisfying game experience I've had in a while! I haven't had this much fun with a Mario RPG since Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. I'm loving it so much. It took me a good 6 hours to get into and it was boring at first, but trudging though has really paid off. I can't get enough! Are the other Mario & Luigi games as fun as this one? I played a little bit of Partners In Time but it didn't grab me as much as this one is. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance?
It was fun, but the sheer amount of hand holding/tutorials really made it the worst in the series for me. And that star character is such a little jerk to Luigi for no reason. Yeah I finished it, but when you're still getting tutorials twenty hours in, you know something's wrong.
I'd definitely put Partners in Time as my favorite followed by Bowser's inside Story
Easily one of my favorite 3ds games of all time. The only downside to this one is that the tutorials can be a little too much but once you're in the second half of the game, it get a LOT better!
I'd say Superstar Saga is easily my favorite, and if you disagree, I HAVE FURY!
In its own right, Dream Team is an excellent addition to the series, but the cast and plot really didn't grip me quite as much as Bowser's Inside Story or Superstar Saga did.

"Da. Dream Team is awesome beefy game. Anyone who say otherwise is wimpy side-salad! Is true that game may treat you like tender cutlet at first, da, but meat of game is pure BEEF!!"
[cough] [ahem] Sorry about that... Yeah, Dream Team definitely ranks up there. I think I'd consider it my favourite in the series so far. With that said, I recently went through a bit of a Mario & Luigi RPG Marathon and I enjoyed myself with all of the games. I don't think there's really a bad one in this series (yet). They're all good to me, though I can't get into Bowser's Inside Story unless I haven't played it in ages. I find Partners in Time a little underrated, imo.
Once a LuigiMan, now a Dreamy representation of the Goddess of Nature.

I actually love this game. I am having a hard time with a part of it. I think it is the second or third time you into luigi's dream, you have to get a piece of crystal or something but it's in the background. I can't figure out how to get to it so I kind of gave up on it. I really need to start playing it again.
Want: Harvest Moon: One World, Story of Seasons: Pioneering Town, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury
Finished the Alola Dex.
Now playing New Horizons, Wrath of White Witch and Sword
I loved this game. Really loved it. Nice music, great graphics, really cool battle system. I was actually talking to someone who was doing a whole game analysis of everything in the title a while back, and I ended up basically acting like a free advocate for the title the whole way through. I can't link to it (cause it's not publically viewable), but it's interesting reading.
I also happened to be dedicated enough to not only beat hard mode to about 99% completion, but also get all characters to level 100. I was actually starting to work them towards 999 stats with bean collecting when my game glitched and I got stuck in some part of Mushrise Park.

Dream Team is easily the best in the series to me. I've played all but Partners in Time. 9.8/10 for me. I just really don't like a part in Somnom Woods but I won't spoil anymore.

Both Mario & Luigi are lvl 9 at the moment, the game is really good, but difficulty might not be a issue, got so many items, you got badges/gear/moves to help you out, (spoilerish) the first Bowser fight was probably the only decent fight yet and I didn't have to use anything besides my badges healing ability that don't heal much.
Difficulty isn't an issue...unless you play on Hard Mode! It's actually hard!
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.

This made me laugh since I'm in Pajamaja lol. They entertain me.
I agree about the tutorials. I stopped playing about 10 hours in last year and wanted to replay it recently. I can't remember anything about the story but I have no interest in doing the beginning again, so I'm just moving on from where I was and I'm remembering bits and pieces of what is going on. The fun game play, pretty graphics and awesome music make up for the tutorials, in my opinion. Some people think it's easy? I must be worse at video games than I thought because there are a couple of bosses that I couldn't beat without trying a few times. The game IS easy in that figuring out where to go and what to do is not a challenge at all but I like the difficulty of the bosses.
I'm going to have to try Partners In Time, Bowser's Inside Story and the other games you recommended if you think this isn't the best one in the series!
Hard Mode is pretty damn brutal. Indeed, the giant battle ring in hard mode is probably harder than just about any Zelda Master Quest in the last ten or more years, or the lot of 'em put together.
Also, I'd probably rate it pretty high compared to the other games. Probably with Bowser's Inside Story and Superstar Saga in the running for 'best' game in the series, although all three have their strong and weak points. Partners in Time is pretty decent too, despite some of the hate it gets.
