Topic: Mario 3D Land shouldn't be compared to SMB3 if Koopalings are missing.

Even though the game has so many elements of SMB3 such as tanooki suit and Boom Boom, it shouldn't be compared to SMB3 if they leave out one of the biggest element of that game, the Koopalings.

With that logic, none of the games should be compared to eachother since Super Mario Sunshine doesn't have 8-bit graphics, or Super Mario Galaxy 2 doesn't have the cape.

Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

Also its not a supermario bros game its a super mario land game so it gets compared to those.

To be honest, this game has nothing to do with the "Land" series. I'd rather think of it as the first of his own series called "3D Land".

It is much easier to compare it to SMB3 and any "Land" game.

It doesn't have any similarities to the SML games so I don't see why you would compare it to those.

@OP Its Rare for a Mario game to have every main feature of another one and SM3DL had many features of SMB3 so I don't see whats wrong with the comparison.

NSMB Wii had all the features of NSMB DS, Super Mario Galaxy 2 had all the features of Super Mario Galaxy 1.

No. NSMB Wii didn't have the Giant Mushroom nor the Koopa Shell. SMG2 did not have a hub-like stage selection.

No they haven't. Boom boom is in it and so is a new female counterpart who aren't Koopalings.

I almost think this info might be necessary for some people.

I mean, let's be honest, regardless of the actual quality of the game (which I'm guessing will be better than NSMB but not on the legendary level of 3 or the Galaxy games etc.), this game is blatant Mario 3 fanservice.
