to be fair, I've not heard good things about the HD collections that aren't MGS or ICO/Shadow. But yeah, valid point. The fact that this wouldn't be one of like 500 remakes in the span of one year makes it far more tolerable and I love Majora's Mask but play a new game you silly sheep. NSMB2 doesn't count.
I've been playing the Tomb Raider trilogy, and while so far I've only finished Anniversary, I've found it to be fine, and the first God of War collection was pretty nice.
I guess I was expecting a little more from Ocarina of Time 3D, like it running on the Twilight Princess engine or something, as lovely as the graphics were, the gameplay is still the same as it was all those years ago.

I think the gameplay was fine I just didn't like that it was the same game but with better graphics I expected more from Nintendo since they focus more on the a great gameplay experience and not on graphics. Also Nintendo fans are supposed to care about games being good instead of graphics so I don't get why people are excited over the same game with nothing new except better graphics.

I bought it years ago on Virtual Console, never completed it. A portable remake would probably get me to go through it. Portable just suits some people a lot more.
Choice is good, nobody HAS to buy any remake they might make, it just offers another choice for those who do want to play the game.
I am for Majora's Mask 3D. It makes perfect sense to follow up Ocarina of Time 3D. They can use what they've done in OoT3D to help make MM3D, just like they did with the original MM and OoT. Majora's Mask is as good a game as OoT, so it has just as much right to get the same treatment. It would be nice to have MM on a portable system. It would be cool if they added a Master Quest, just to keep it on par with OoT's features. That would be something original, too.
Of course I also want a new original Zelda on the 3DS. But I really don't care which comes first, as I know a new, original Zelda game for 3DS is inevitable.
Also, I think ALttP would make for a good remake on the Wii U. Give it a Skyward Sword graphics style, but keep the overhead view. Either that, or artistic hand-drawn graphics.
I'm not so sure about a remake of A Link to the Past. It's my favorite Zelda game but if they tried to remake it in a 3D world, they would have to do a complete overhaul. I'm not sure I'd like to play ALTTP with Twilight Princess-style gameplay. It would require so many changes it would be a completely different game altogether. Now if they were to reuse all of the artwork and sound effects from ALTTP to make a sort of spiritual sequel, like Capcom did with Link's Awakening for their Zelda Oracle Games, that's another matter. I would very much like to see that.

No I don't. Unlike sheep, I would not burn money. That would be pretty stupid.
Also, I didn't realize it cost me money to play the exact same games I already own. Is someone charging you to play games you already own? I hope not, that would just be terrible.
Since they remade OoT in 3D, it only makes sense that they remake it's sequel, Majora's Mask, into 3D.
Perhaps they could have extra unlockables/bonuses, for instance, if you have a completed Ocarina of Time 3D save file on your 3DS along with a completed MM save file (kind of like Oracle of Ages and Seasons linked together if you have them both and completed both).
Heck, if it unlocked new Swapnote Stationary, I'd be doin' backflips! xD

in all seriousness, let me reiterate that you don't have to choose between new and old games. a zelda remake is happening, practically guaranteed at this point, and a new 3DS zelda is also guaranteed. i'll enjoy both of them.
Skip the Remakes, HD Collections and 3D Classics... make some new games, put the old ones on VC.
So you would rather get Majora's Mask on the virtual console instead of as a 3DS remake? The title screen alone would be cool to see in 3D. And then the goron race and swimming as the zora. The game would benefit more from 3D than OoT did.

Exactly how I feel about it. Why waist resources on remaking old games when those same resources can be utilized to make brand new ones. Some new games in the style of Link's awakening and LInk to the Past would be nice though.
I would love if Nintendo were to make one looking like this...

i think skull kid would be a cool character to have but in all honesty, ghirahim belongs in there first. and second. and third. and then, if there are any more times left over, then skull kid. still, if skull kid does end up in the next SSB then majora's mask 3D is pretty much announced.
