I didn't relay like the first one that much, and in my opinion this would be better suited for the Wii because of the pointer. I still might wait for some reviews before I decide to get it or not...

When this game was revealed, I yelled so loud that I broke the sound barrier. I've been wanting a sequel to Luigi's Mansion for quite some time, and it'll be here next year. I hope it's longer than the first! :)

I'm back (for the moment)!

So happy there's a sequel to this.
But what happened to the Boos? :(

Don't worry. It's been confirmed King Boo is back, and probably with a ton of Boos as well.

Information straight from the Nintendo Network at E3 2011.
•Shining a light on the ghosts is no longer enough to stun them into immobility. Players need to activate a strobe function and release it to stun the ghosts before sucking them up with the Poltergust.
•Different types of ghosts haunt the different mansions. Luigi must figure out how to defeat each one of them and find hidden secrets to unlock new areas and treasure chests. These new elements add more variety and introduce new puzzle-solving mechanics.
•Players can use the Poltergust to help Luigi remove wallpaper to reveal hidden areas, clean up piles of treasure-hiding leaves or suck up stacks of coins and bills. But in reality, the nervous and reluctant Luigi just wants to get as far away from these ghosts as possible.
•The 3D visuals bring the mansions, ghosts and surroundings to life. Players experience all the haunting chills and fun the game has to offer.
•This game is the first follow-up to the 2001 Nintendo GameCubeTM launch title Luigi's Mansion™.

Also, there's this picture.
Untitled
King Boo has returned, and he still has his old look.

Most wanted Smash Bros. newcomers
1. King K. Rool
2. Mii
3. Takamaru
4. Kat & Ana
Little Mac was on the list, but he's been confirmed.

That sounds fantastic, I really wish it was coming out this year. Oh well, I can still get Super Mario 3D and Mario Kart this holiday at least. :)

This is one of those games I NEVER thought I would see. I know there is a niche group of people that really love Luigi's Mansion, but never thought we would see a sequel. After reading up on it and seeing the 3D trailer on my 3DS, I am really excited for this!

Funny enough I wasn't too suprised when Luigi's Mansion 2 was unveiled. Don't you guys remember Nintendo chatting it up and saying how much they wanted to a Luigi's Mansion sequal on the 3DS during a couple interviews or so?

Anyways, Aside from Luigi's Mansion 2's mild suprise, there were no other suprises whatsoever regarding the 3DS, none for the Wii during the E3 showing. It was all about the Wii U.

Currently Playing: Donkey Kong Country Returns!

Nintendo had me at this in E3. I was at the brink of considering a Vita instead of a 3DS. My mind has been changed..

I really hope they manage to make the mansions large enough. One of the greatest parts of the first game was its use of the mansion for exploration and atmosphere. I truly hope switching between mansions won't diminish what the first one did. The first one was brilliant, easily my favorite Gamecube game.

I wonder if Luigi's Mansion 2 will have online or local multiplayer features?

Even though I had a GC, I never played LM. Therefore, I'm excited about LM 2. Also, I'm a Luigi fan.

I'm massively looking forward to this. The only problem with the GC Version was that it only took me three hours to finish, i hope this isn't the same with the new version, as they did mention at E3 there'd be MANY mansions to explore, i just hope they uphold that promise

@Totally-Rad if you still have your GC you should buy the Original Luigi's Mansion it really is a great game.

Our family has a Wii and I was wondering about a few things. If you own a Wii do you need to purchase a GameCube Memory Card and GameCube controller?

Yes and yes. Nintendo unfortunately doesn't let you save GC data to the Wii memory. It makes no sense but that's how it is.

EDIT: Aviator beat me to it :3
