Well i went and purchased a 3DS XL and a SD card, should be here by monday ! I know im going to get Ocarina of Time 3D, the question is do i snag Pokemon or go for something else (tough decisions)
If you risk getting a 64GB SDXC card, I recommend getting one with class 10(obviously) and a HIGH mb/s rate. If you can get one with over a 40mb/s transfer rate, it probably won't crash, because the actual card is just alot better and FAT32 will just use whatever's there.
I would honestly just stick with 32GB, but it could very well not matter if you get a very capable card.
EDIT: I have a class 10 PNY 32GB with a 20mb/s transfer rate that I got for $30, and I've been using it for over a year now.
1) Well, the styluses are in different places, the XL has a 4gb card vs a 2gb, and the XL has longer battery life.
2) For the brief time I used my cousin's XL, it seemed it would fit in a pocket but I can't verify it.
3) I've used both, and I've yet to have any trouble with either. Of course, I was practically born with a controller in my hands so I think I'm immune to hand cramps.
4) Monster Hunter is pretty awesome (have yet to buy it for the 3DS, but it was amazing on the Wii), and Etrian Odyssey seemed to be a pretty solid title. Theatrhythm is the only non-Nintendo game I've purchased retail (barring Bit. Trip. Saga) and I love it.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
