The June update is only 10 days away and I'm already wondering when the next update after that will come. What will be in June update other than the Internet Browser and the eShop? What will be planned for the update after this and when will it be? hahaha I'm interested

Yep Didn't they say they were adding it?

I think Netflix may be coming on June 6th. They said Netflix will be available in the summer- and well, even though June 6th isn't the start of summer actually, people still consider the end of May the start of summer- so...

With the netflix subscribing thing, is that just a netflix account, so if I'm getting movies from netflix in the mail, I wont have to pay another 8 moolah a month?
11. Posted: Sat 28th May 2011 21:10 BST
I've actually heard that the Netflix ability will come with the June 6th update, if this banner is to be believed.@Bigrat if you are already subscribing to netflix, you can stream for free unless you have that special package, but I think the $8 includes all streaming

Lucky Americans, I don't think Netflix is in the EU. :/
Hopefully it gets more updates than the Wii. The Wii got a few fixes, channels, channel/VC game updates and that was it. Most of the updates didn't even update anything except for maybe fix a few underlying problems with piracy etc. if your gonna release an update, make the update worthwhile to download.

I am hoping a pictochat like app will come out. It is basically a must for nintendo turning out how popular it was on the DS lite and DSi.
14. Posted: Sat 28th May 2011 21:17 BST
It was popular on the DS Lite/DSi? Really? 'Cos I never used it.
If they update it so you can have a chat type system with your friends then that'd be pretty cool, but as it stands, PictoChat is as pointless as you can get.

I used Pictochat every once in awhile to screw around, but nothing really great. now if they made an online version of it that works while suspending a game, that'd be cool. Oh, and i've got a few other ideas. I'd love to be able to listen to music while playing a game. basically, i want to be able to use the 3DS Sound application, albeit stripped down a bit (no visualizers, pitch stuff, ect.). If it can run an internet browser while a game is suspended, then i think a music player could work. oh, and able to use some system setting functionality while something is suspended. same with activity log.

Considering that E3 starts the day after the update, wouldn't it be cool if nintendo would release demos/trailers/ect. throughout the E3 presentation? They could announce Super Mario 3DS at E3, and to our surprise, we get a demo of the game via spotpass! Even better! Instead of having to go to the E3 demo booths, we get every demo through spotpass! This may be a bit out there, but could they do it? The fact that the update is a day before E3 leads me to believe that something like this could possibly happen...

@Xkhaoz Yeah I'd like all of that, I mean I would like to go through my settings without having to end my suspended software. Hopefully they'll add more stuff you can use while another game/app is suspended. A chat feature, maybe more robust than PictoChat, would be pretty cool, Staus Message sizes needs to be increased, 16 characters is just ridiculous. Music would be a good idea, like before you suspend it could ask you if you want to keep it on while you play around with something else.
The possibilities are endless Ninty, make it happen!
Also, internet browser + stuck in a game = WIN! If I get stuck in say OoT I can just suspend it and open up the browser, search for a walkthrough and done. Clever thinking Ninty.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.
I doubt they would, but then again, anything can happen and I would be ecstatic if demos of the games on the showfloor were pushed to us via spotpass. That's something not even MS and Sony had done, correct me if I'm wrong. And I'm referring to distributing demos of games from the showfloor to the consoles.
I'd love to try out Super Mario 3DS, Mario Kart, Paper Mario, Kid Icarus... I don't think they would do that for Animal Crossing though, that's for sure.

All I ask is a simple mailing system, for the least, in the friends register. So we can finally make contact with the ones you add online instead of just status messages. Maybe game invites, too, it may look familiar with the bigger consoles but it's actually quite useful. This atleast must come along with the eShop and Internet Browser, or I'm seriously disappointed in my 3DS. It could have many cool functions, and yet we get such a small package. I hope they plan to make updates continuesly, and not to let us wait months for something that had to be there already. Improvement is needed! I can't outstand waiting for this.
Also, other things that are on my wishlists for the future updates is:A video support channel. Something like the Music Channel, so we can record/view videos we make or add via our SD Card.Any sort of more contact with friends or people you meet via StreetPass. PictoChat/VoiceChat/VideoChat name it. I want it to be there! I'm not into online video rental, but it's nice to know if there would be one. A channel for this could be great.
Anyone could borrow me a glass of milk?
