Hi, so my girlfriend has got my old 3DS as I upgraded to the "New" lol 3DS Hyrule one (the bad naming always makes me laugh). Thing is I want to play games that have local multiplayer play. Doesn't matter if it requires one cartridge or two, just having trouble finding which games do and which don't.

I know Fire Emblem does but my girlfriend is too casual for that.

edit: found one, Mario Golf. Does that require one or two cartridges? Any more suggestions will be appreciated.

I don't believe Mario Golf requires two cartridges.

Mario Party Island Tour, Mario Kart 7 (limited), Mario Tennis Open, StarFox 643D, Luigi's Mansion 2/Dark Moon has a multiplayer mode, Cooking Mama 4 & 5 (limited), Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Smash Bros, and Kirby Triple Deluxe all have local multiplayer. The ones I marked as limited, MK7 you can't pick anything except Shy Guy and the basic kart to use if you're using only 1 cartridge, whoever doesn't have the cartridge is limited. Cooking Mama, the main parts of the game are like 98% of the game, and the local was kind of fun and charming, but me and my friend got bored of it in an hour and went back to playing by ourselves.

There's more to add to the list of games, I just took a glance at my collection and said a bunch.

Thanks for replies. That list has helped. I'm going to look into buying a couple of those games on the weekend. Just gonna research which has the best multiplayer and if I need one or two games for local play.

Mario Party, MK7, and Mario Tennis didn't need a 2nd cart to play with a friend. I forgot if Starfox did or not. Everything else I said, I'm pretty sure does need a 2nd cart. MK7 helps to have 2 of them though.
