Hi! I was just wondering if people felt that Nintendo will put creatable elements in their games this year (track / kart creator for Mario Kart, level creator for mario e.t.c), or is this something we'll never see for their games?

The latest Mario VS Donkey Kong games have level creators. Quite fun

I believe we will see more player creation types of elements in Nintendo's games in the future. It has already begun. All 3 Mario vs DK games feature level creation elements and WarioWare DIY has micro-game creation. Clearly Nintendo has already started to embrace the idea so I think we can expect more from them. I believe a big part of the future of video games will be user-created content. It tends to give games long legs.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl also had level editing, and everyone loved it. Like bboy2970 said, Nintendo has already started adding creation components in their games.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Yeah they should really start doing this more often. They still have a lot of successful 2D sidescroller games.

I remember them stated that they want to create games that will allow us to create ourselves. Wish they would do it with one of the Mario games. I wanna create my own Mario Bros. level already!...Or better yet, an entire game in general! (you know, 8 worlds, 4 levels per world...that thing...lol)

I really wanted to like MvDK2. I loved the level editor, but the whole "move multiple Marios at once and get them all to the goal consecutively without any of them dying" thing got unmanageable quick. :<

That's why I stick with MvDK1. You can actually STOP the Marios in that one. I was already pissed when they took it out from the DSiWare version, but I thought, "Okay, it's DSiWare, they always dummy it down a bit,"
But, oh, when I learned that MvDK2 would have the same no-fun controls and rules of having to let ALL the Mario in IN SEQUENCE WITHIN A TIME LIMIT AFTER THE FIRST ONE ENTERS, I was so disappointed that I didn't even bother purchasing the game.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
