I'm not talking about quantity, I'm talking about originality and popularity.
yeah sorry. It was stupid of me to think that "Donkey Kong's never had much of a presence" only meant that "Donkey Kong's never had much of a presence". I mean, I'm an idiot for not getting that you were speaking from a conceptual/philosophical perspective rather than a physical one. The only way to make your posts historically accurate is through complex esotericism.
BTW thanks to this thread I have discovered that the third installment in the excellent Mystery Detective (Touch Detective in the US) series has been actually released on 3DS but only in Japan. That alone is a good reason to get japanese lessons.
Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...

Age of Empires (One of the best DS ports ever, instead of trying to make it a clone of the PC version and fail badly, they made it a Tactical TBS with structure-orientated gameplay)
LostMagic
Lunar Knights
Spectrobes
Radiant Historia
And some JRPG I can't remember the name of that had Japanese voice acting, real time fighting game-esque combat, with a myriad of characters you could swap between mid-fight so you could keep a juggle combo going. Then these deities in some far off dimension kept talking about some seemingly unrelated war during the curscenes. Oh, and amongst your party of kids there was this one adult who was an assassin and used a rifle in combat. It seems nobody can tell me the name.
I have been hoping beyond hope that Phantasy Star Zero would have got a sequel on 3DS. For the time it was ahead of its time with absolutely flawless online gameplay. I made many friends online because of that game and still talk with those people until this day. Sega could have done it early in the 3DS life and it would probably still be the best online game on the system or give Monster Hunter a run for its money. I can't wait for Final Fantasy Exploers which is more Phantasy Star Online than it is Monster Hunter and I like that.
Still playing 3DS but will have Switch soon for multiplayer with friends. I miss you guys! Adam, Joni, Gavin and the rest of the Blue Rogues from the Phantasy Star Zero Days.

Tales of Innocence. Needs a sequel on the 3DS. Not a bloody port of its predecessor (seriously wtf)
Glory of Heracles, Sonic Rush, Spectrobes, Game & Watch Collection, and Electroplankton are the first ones that spring to mind.
"I'll take a potato chip... AND EAT IT!"
Light Yagami, Death Note
"Ah, the Breakfast Club soundtrack! I can't wait 'til I'm old enough to feel ways about stuff!"
Phillip J. Fry, Futurama
Now that I think of it... Viva Piñata, I really liked the DS game.
Too bad the series will probably never get a new game. A new portable entry on the 3DS would be awesome.
Viva Piñata had a DS game? How'd Nintendo swing that?
MS didn't have a device that competed with Nintendo's handelds at the time, so it wasn't too uncommon for things like that to happen.
There were two Banjo Kazooie games (a platformer & a racer) released for the GBA after the acquisition, as well as Viva Piñata & I think something else for DS.
Unlikely to happen anymore, because they likely consider Windows Phone to be their portal for portable gaming.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

I doubt that. Even MS releases their games/apps first on Android/iOS before Windows Phone. :/ Besides, releasing one of their portable games on 3DS won't hurt the mobile phone sales that much.
The big 3 nowadays are even more protective of their IPs than before. Moreover, they won't lift a finger to develop a thing if it won't be on their system, which is understandable.
