I bought Paper Mario Sticker Star recently and the reason that I'm old enough to drink in the States makes me think that the game is a bit too childish for my age ? Or am I wrong ? Let me know NL community !!

try figuring out all the sticker puzzles and the like without a guide, then say that

its honestly no more "childish" than any Mario game ever

what does being old enough to drink have to do with anything? if we're using that logic then i shouldn't be playing a lot of games! :3 but i haven't played sticker star though i was thinking about picking it up the other day. but i think mario's more charming than it is childish

You are what you eat from your head to your feet.

If you mean "plot should be less flat", yes, but I think that it's a good game. But I get why people are disappointed. So much hype for the game before it came out and now all people remember is the backlash of disappointment!

Really?
How is Super Mario Galaxy(for ex)any less childish(which i don't think is childish in the first place, even if it is which it isn't, whocares? play what appeals to YOU.) than Sticker Star?..... I could understand if you were talking about an 'ABC' Sesame street game(which i'm sure would still be less childish than something like Gears of War. I kid I kid) that had the same amount of depth as banging a fisher price toy against the wall, but Sticker Star? C'mon guy, this is silly.

Whimsical, cartoony', colorful and surreal fantasy based video games that have intelligent game design is what i personally crave 90% of the time. I don't care what's considered childish, thinking that playing something that is cartoon-based and isn't realistic with mass destruction, guns 'a plenty and goopy blood for the tweenies i'd say is 'childish'.

I haven't played Sticker Star yet, but I've played the other Paper Mario games and I can safely say they are in no way "childish", it's just a bad Paper Mario game. Besides, I'm sure it's more than just collecting stickers and using them in battle y'know.

I don't quite see the game as a dissapointment (mostly because it was my first PM game).
The thing I think society looks down when you are playing that game in a public space, ain't it ?

I, for one, don't think that anything beyond the letters/numbers/learning games are for kids only, and even then if an old guy plays those and enjoys them, who am I to stop them? What's important in a game is to enjoy it, no matter how it looks or how it plays! Less thinking, more enjoying your time, it's not like you will live forever

There are a huge amount of problems with that game, but in my eyes being too childish wasn't one of them.

I make Pixel Art on occasion, and sometimes sell them as Game Assets.

All videogames playing is childish. It's a childish habit. There's nothing per se wrong with it, but it is childish because it's a sort of escapism, fantasy, make-belief.

Just like movies. Yet I don't understand why you'd consider escapism, fantasy and make-belief chidlish. I don't care what's considered childish, and i don't care who makes the rules. Videogames are awesome. Life without movies, cartoons, music, videogames, alcohal ect would be hell....I'd probably be sitting at the beach eating strawberries. lol

I hope you're joking or trying to be ironic, because that's exactly the image video gaming has moved past in the last, say, 10 years or so?
