Didn't it come out a decade ago? Last time I checked, there is no remake in the works, so I don't see why this is here...
Best thread ever

We discussed this a lot in a thread about Ocarina of Time 3DS, methinks. Still, no thread about it as far as I know

Ugh, no. Just make a new freaking Zelda, I don't want a remake. Not even of Ocarina.

Well, I'm with you on your opinion but my thoughts are that the Ocarina of Time remake is a testing ground for a future Zelda title to come (on 3DS) much like how Twilight Princess on Wii formulated a part of the gameplay mechanics/control scheme of the new Zelda: Skyward Sword game.

I think they're making an Ocarina remake so they can have a readily available engine when they start work on an exclusive 3DS Zelda. Might as well make a remake with an engine that's going to be developed.
But why Ocarina? I'd like to have The Wind Waker with me instead. But my number one thing is just an original Zelda.
So yeah, if not an original Zelda, and they HAD to make a port/remake, The Wind Waker would be a nice way to show off the 3DS's power. There are several ways to play Ocarina, with only one way to play The Wind Waker.

I agree with this train of thought. Personally, I wouldn't want a straight port of Wind Waker (I still have the original) but I would like Nintendo to continue making brand new games in the "Toon" Zelda style/arc (follow-ups to Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks) as handheld games after they finish the port of OoT.
Even better would be brand new 3DS games along the lines of the old Oracle handheld games.

Please no, no more remakes, and especially not one that's a subpar lackey made game with no Miyamoto influence on it as those are the worst in the series next to the total hand-off travesties by capcom(Flagship.) Just make a new one, do it well, have the creator work on it again, and just do it right otherwise I'm done with the series as the sketchy DS titles were terrible, and the GC/Wii game is too large, too empty, too boring, dragged out, and for Wii with sketchy controls. I'll get this Wii one coming up, but if it doesn't please me Zelda is going right on the do not fly zone list I keep that currently houses Megaman spinoffs and Kirby among a few others.

I wouldn't mind seeing one...towards the last few years of the 3DS' lifespan, of course. I want at least one or two NEW Zelda games before that though. I think it would be cool if they added a few new dungeons or maybe some sort of weird 3D mask thingy that...I dunno, really. What would a 3D mask do? >.<

I'd like to unlock Majora's Mask after finishing Ocarina of Time please. An N64 cartridge has 64MB memory, so no matter how much stuff and better textures and sound they put in the 3DS version they could probably still put the whole Majora's Mask on it. (Not that I think they would but it'd be awesome)
Probably getting a Vita with LBP soon...

I think it's a great idea to put Majora's Mask on the 3DS.
I'd finally have a game I'd know for sure I can skip.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

Yeah there were loads of cut outs in the original so maybe putting them back and completing them all in a certain time (not all of them each one seperate.) you could unlock majoras mask, In fact I love unlockables in all forms so I'm up for this.
