Topic: Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D Confirmed...?

A retailer made a listing for Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D... could it be true? I don't know when my original 3DS-exclusive Zelda will ever become reality, but Majora's Mask was a great game and will most likely be even better on 3DS. Keep in mind that this is a rumor and it's unofficial. However, a 3DS Direct is happening tomorrow on April 17th, and an announcement of Majora's Mask 3D is a possibility. Remember, the Zelda creators mentioned they were interested in making either a Majora's Mask 3DS remake or a Link to the Past 3DS remake, so keep in mind this may most certainly not be false. Also, remember when Donkey Kong 3DS was promoted by a retailer a while back, and it turned out being Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D? That may be the case with this rumor. Maybe this isn't just a rumor...

Why? You just contradicted yourself. You said DKCR3D was confirmed a while back and it turned out true so you think LoZ:MM3D is possible, then you said you don't think it's being made. Also, remember a while back when the Zelda creators said they might develop either a Majora's Mask 3D of a Link to the Past 3D? I think it's Majora's Mask, dude.

Its probably false. Why would a random Spanish retailer, and no other retailer suddenly know that Majora's Mask was getting remade, and is having a specific release date (November 8th)?

Other retailers may know, and this one just revealed it by accident? I am extremely hyped about the Nintendo Direct now, but I am ready for my hopes to come crashing down...

Guys, try and remember the evidence I brought up. You know, about the Zelda creators asking for fans' inputs on whether they want a Majora 3D or a Link to the Past 3D. The Zelda creators never confirmed anything, but they said they were considering it. For all we know, this remake has been well in development since then and this listing of the supposed remake may not just be a rumor and a coincidence. Maybe my speculations are dead on...

I thought Nintendo said they'd do an original Zelda first and then think about a Majora's Mask remake? Remember the GBA when it came to mario games? we never recieved an original Mario sidescroller, I hope Nintendo doesn't do the same with Zelda on the 3DS. You know, I don't think nintendo is going to reveal another remake, I just think it's this spanish retailer having speculative thought.
Seriously, I can't see Nintendo announcing ANOTHER remake when we're already getting Wind Waker HD, it would just be too much, of course most Zelda fans would love for this to happen but isn't it a little too soon? I could wait another few years before getting another zelda remake, however I would rather an original entry take place before that even occurs.

What he's saying is that he recalls Nintendo saying that they first wanted to get the new, original Zelda 3DS title out first(I recall that too). This date would definitely not leave any time for that unless they are going to magically pull the new title out of their you-know-whats and release it in under a few months. Although I personally wouldn't mind and I'm sure some others wouldn't either, a lot would feel like it is an overload: Wind Waker HD coming out around the time of this MM re-release, the new Zelda 3DS game would likely have to come out pretty soon, and then the possibility of the Oracle games making their way to eshop soon? Miyamoto(?) also said he would've preferred to do an LttP 3D remake.

Hey, anything's possible with Nintendo haha, and good lord that's like a Zelda fan's dream, but even I can't fall for this one just yet.

No doubt we'll probably end up getting it, but this date does seem a bit too soon.

Anyways, I myself would've liked if they focused their attention on new Zelda games for 3DS and Wii U (completely I say, even if there are other dev teams hired for the remake jobs, it still might affect the development of the original titles). But when you think of it, games of such quality like Majora's Mask deserve a remake, because of them aging poorly due to their graphical nature (some people would mind playing them today with that graphics engine that first ran for SM64 on the N64, which apparently was Nintendo's first 3D-based system). Sure is true that A Link to the Past hasn't aged much... and is still looking way smoother than those jaggy, razor-sharp gfx found on the N64 games.

They are focused completely. Just because they split the group up to get two projects done doesn't mean that it slows down the productivity. It probably increases it because they have more to do.

FAKE!!! But we're getting something even better... an original Zelda title for 3DS that's in the world of A Link to the Past, but its a completely new adventure! Link wields a sword and a hammer, can reach new heights, and can even turn into a drawing to transcend! It's coming to 3DS at a later date! Screw Majora's Mask, this is what I really wanted and it looks much better! Yay!

I should probably block this topic now because nobody cares about this fake rumor anymore because Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2 will be much better!

I agree it's much better than a simple remake of Majora's Mask using the OoT 3D engine, but at some point, (end of the 3DS' life-cycle) it would be good to do so. MM is right up there with the best of Zeldas. This sequel is much better news.

This will be released as next year's Zelda title, to tide us over before Zelda U.
