Topic: LBX: Little Battlers eXperience

I don't see a thread for this game. I got surprised by a poster for this game at Gamestop today. Surprised because I hadn't heard anything about it until today. The very first impression I had was 'Custom Robo?!' But then I found out it wasn't actually related to Custom Robo. But the trailer looks interesting, and its made by Level 5, so that's still got me further interested.

Apparently its based on an anime that's getting some play in the US? Though apparently it was a series of video games first? At any rate this looks like an interesting multiplayer customization game in the mold of Custom Robo, so it might scratch that particular itch.

Does anyone know anything about this series of games at all?

EDIT: Also one of the armor designs looks like a Votoms (from Armored Trooper Votoms) and I want to play as that unit SO BAD.

I've never heard of the series of games, but I really want this game. It's looks really fun.

Grrrr... apparently this game will have local multiplayer only, no online functionality. That seems like a serious oversight for this kind of game that boasts 3 on 3 multiplayer as a feature. Expecting to have 6 people with 3DS and 6 copies of the game in the same room seems a little much.

I hope the singleplayer campaign reviews well.

@Jim_Purcell, the game got 2 or 3 Nintendo Treehouse segments at this E3 (all 20-30 minutes long), and Nintendo has all of them posted to their YouTube channel, just so you know (FYI, one of the segments is shared with Yokai Watch, as they're both Level-5 games).

As for the game itself, it looks surprisingly fun. If I had the extra money I'd pick it up.

I know I'll pick it up. I enjoyed all 3 seasons of the anime & this game looks like the closest thing I'll probably ever see to a new Gotcha Force.
