It's just crappy character design... for once I'm actually looking forward to hearing that the "far too conservative west" have censored the artwork.
I don't think it should be censored on principle, but this crappy character design is definitely going to affect this game's marketability in the west.

Although I do have to say I think it's a bit disingenuous for those pretending the only problem is bad character design. I don't buy that. If it was bad character design but not in a sexualised direction, the reaction wouldn't be as bad. No-one complains about ridiculously large swords this much. Or, as I mentioned, the infamous bandages wrapped around the Buster Sword in Kingdom Hearts.

To be fair, they got the bandage thing from Bleach...and everyone complains about Bleach...
the animation style and gameplay looks an homage to the mega drive days.
it's like fire emblem but with a little more going on. the turns take a little longer but if the game is anything like langrisser 1 or 2, i think it's a must for fire emblem fans.
It's gotten an average review from Famitsu 6/7/7/6, I've been tearing through a few tatical RPGs lately and I'm always on the look for my next fix so this may do if it gets a Western release.

This game came out under the radar. I'm casually looking through the eshop and there it was first game in the new section. I'm curious to know if anyone had played it. I feel like I need something new to play and this could fit the bill.

"I designed her like this because I'm a lech" makes way more sense than trying to have the female character make up some pandering excuse that no female on earth would believe. Anyway I've got this preordered (kinda don't need it since I'm still working through Fire Emblem ) but I'll post my impressions when I get it.

Lol I was kind of confused by the email notification I got for this thread. I didn't even remember posting in it. Came from almost a year ago. One of those pics I posted isn't even hosted anymore. Pretty sure it was this though.

I would assume no review copies were sent out, and no one is really interested in this game.
I am searching high and low and would love to read some professional reviews on this game. Can't find nothing. It is, afterall, still a month before I can play FE: Fates, and I finished Codename Steam and FE: Awakening a long time ago. However, it would seem either no one is really interested, or they all just started reviewing it once it was released.
Come on NL, surely Thomas has booted it up by now !
I'm interested in reading reviews myself. The gameplay vid I saw a while ago was less than stellar to say the least, but it may yet prove to be alright.
