So, like...how do the cards work anyway? Are they just random and somewhat pointless or is there more to it? Just wondering...
well.... yea the are just mindless fun, kinda like the original AR cards. fights are amusing but useless but everytime you scan one, you get 100 bonus hearts ingame

That's what they said about my order as well, but it was already shipped out yesterday. Tracking the shipment shows that it arrived at my local PO today ... so hopefully it'll be delivered tomorrow!

I know that feel bro I just looked at the tracking thing from Best Buy and "Expected delivery date, on or before:March 29, 2012" Yesterday it was in Ohio, I live in Arizona... ;_; To make matters worse, I still haven't gotten my pre-order gift....
I guess. It's just hard because I always see the messages of people enjoying the game and saying how they're having so much fun, and I can't enjoy that with them...oh well.

Mine hasn't been shipped yet. They probably won't until Monday...

Ouch. Well, we're all in this together XD. That's too bad about you mot having your code yet. At least I have mine.
I don't get what's to hate about the land battles. I actually found myself more comfortable without the stand, and I could still see the 3D. I think that everyone that has issues with it should put the sensitivity on maximum. It controls well that way. Man do I love the original Kid Icarus theme song. hums song

For my AR Cards, I got: Pit (001); Palutena (002); Medusa, Queen of the Underworld (005); Dark Lord Gaol (008); First Blade (080); and Stackjaw (220). I may need to collect them all.
The game is confrontationally bizarre. I love it. The controls definitely took some getting used to, but now I don't have any trouble with them at all, and am enjoying the land sections at least as much as the flight sections. I wonder if casual newcomers to the series would be willing to put up with the learning curve, though. It really is a steep one. I guess I'll bullet-point some brief thoughts. Can't tear myself away from the game long enough to write something substantial! -Visuals are gorgeous. Wow this game looks good. -Flight sections are pretty much gaming perfection. Puts Star Fox to shame and gives Sin and Punishment a run for its money. -Fiend's Cauldron is the most ingenious difficulty system ever devised. I want every game from now on to have it. You here me, developers? EVERY GAME! -So. Many. Weapons. I don't think I'll ever unlock them all, but it's astounding that each one feels distinctly different from the next. -Running commentary. Hmm. It certainly gives the game a silly vibe that I fully approve of, and I every time I tune in it seems relatively funny, but the game is just so action packed that I can't possibly pay attention to all of it. It's like playing a game with the radio on in the background. -Land sections really aren't like anything I've ever played before. Tricky to handle, but once you figure out what fighting style works best for you and you're able to slip into a groove, it's as slick and satisfying as any action game out there, and five times as crazy. From the enemy design to the level design to the gameplay itself, the game is just bonkers. -Little details make the world go round. During the flight sections, if you get close to the ground, Pit will stop flying and start sprinting across the surface. You can swivel around the menu icons. 8-Bit music and sounds mixed in with the orchestral soundtrack. I'm sure there's tons more, but I love it when games are filled with silly little details and easter eggs. -I played Light vs. Dark. It was fun.

I was so exited today, going and finally getting this incredible game. But then my retailer had bad news: "By some error, Nintendo was not able to ship the Kid Icarus Uprising game, causing its release here in Mexico to delay until 29nth. Good news is that i will be getting the download code since i preordered from my retailer. I was so sad...

I love this. Well worth the wait. It's amazing! The graphics, the music, the gameplay! Love it. At first I reaaaallly hated the land sections. I was so dissapointed. Then I started getting use to the controls and by chapter 4 I was playing like a pro and enjoying the heck out of the land stages. The dialogue is great too! So silly I love it. Unfortunately the game's music reaaly drowns it out and I don't pay attention sometimes, because things get so intense! I notice when there is a hilarious line though. "I was there so long they named the place after me! HosPITal!" LMAO! 3D effect and multiplayer is also top notch! This is well worth 25 years.
Edit: Since others are doing it, my AR cards: Pit, Lady Palutena (Hope it's not the same one as the CN give away, kind of pointless), Madusa, Twin Bellows, Standard Oribtars, Mik Also, you have to turn on the option to receive new weapons from Spotpass. It's really burried under all e options too. Wonder why Nintendo was trying to hide it, basically.
I don't think the controls are that bad, the air battles are fine. Which by the way I love. Its the land battles that aren't amazingly easy to control, I might have to try the sensitivity option.
This is weird but did anyone think the noise the game card makes when inserted in the 3DS for this game sounded different? Is that just because its new?
Haven't tried online yet, we should all add eachother!
