So Kid Icarus got a 40/40 from Famitisu.

But on that note other games that have gotten a 40/40.

  • Soulcalibur (1999, Namco, for Dreamcast)
  • Vagrant Story (2000, Square Co., for PlayStation)
  • The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (2003, Nintendo, for Nintendo GameCube)
  • Nintendogs (2005, Nintendo, for Nintendo DS)
  • Final Fantasy XII (2006, Square Enix, for PlayStation 2)
  • Super Smash Bros. Brawl (2008, Nintendo, for Wii)
  • Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (2008, Konami, for PlayStation 3)
  • 428: Fūsa Sareta Shibuya de (2008, Sega, for Wii)
  • Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies (2009, Square Enix, for Nintendo DS)

  • New Super Mario Bros. Wii (2009, Nintendo, for Wii)
  • Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (2010, Konami, for PlayStation Portable)
  • Pokémon Black and White (2010, Nintendo, for Nintendo DS)

  • Final Fantasy XIII-2 (2012, Square Enix, for Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3

You know Famitsu are going soft when FFXIII-2 gets a perfect. Nevertheless, these are all great games. (At least the ones I played are)

You can tell that Famitsu has lowered their standards when more then half of their perfect scored games came from the last 4 years... Money hatting perhaps? Anyway, other sites have given this game high scores(ONM-91; EDGE-8; Gamesreactor-9) and the production values and multiplayer aspects are just crazy, I'm still excited for this game and will be getting it once it hits the shelf.

Hello! So I'm heading on vacation during next week and am planning on pre-ordering this game and picking it up on the release day at GameStop. If the store opens at 10 AM, should I be their by that time or should I not worry about it? I'm not sure this is a game people will camp out for. Thanks!

If you pre order then there is no need to be there early. I don't thinking this game will fly off the shelves like some Xbox games would. You should be able to find it most anyway you go!

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.

Holy hell, I hadn't realized just how close the release day is. I still have to finish paying off the game.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

if you put in a 5 dollar deposit, do you have to pay it all before the day the game is released, or can you pay the rest as you pick it up?

So apparently there is a no stylus option. Personally, I'm looking forward to the accuracy of the touch screen, but the no stylus option may come in handy in some situations like in the car.

From what I understand you flick the circle pad just before the enemy attack hits you. http://kidicarus.nintendo.com/uprising/how-to-play/ Here is the gameplay video area on the official website, dodging is the bottommost video. Hope this helps!
