I'm sorry, to hear that, yet, I know that the 3DS is the best choice for Kid Icarus and it is the game of game that I've always wanted to have on a handheld and furthermore I've always wanted to have console graphics on a handheld and I'm thankful. No compaints from me.

Its going to be interesting to see how this plays, this is one of my most anticipated titlles released so far because I am a big Kid Ic fan, both old and new in SSB. With that beign said, from the second video this is what I picked up about it:
*The controlling is broken down into three sections: The slide pad for movement, the L button for shooting and the Stylus for Aiming
*The Air combat will be similar somewhat to an on rail shooter which will be allow for fun types of gameplay but will never last for more then 5 minutes at a time. SO they are like quick "bursts of air" gameplay,
*There is potential for multi-player gaming, they are still exploring the 3DS infrastructure and multi-player capabilities
*New and old faces will appear

The stylus will act similar to mouse, but also allow flicks of the stylus or flicks of the slide pad for dashing or quickly moving
the 3d is better then he imagined
I'm quite sure Kid Icarus: Uprising and Star Wars 64 3D will both feature online multiplayer along with PilotWings Resort. Animal Crossing 3DS having online game play is quite obvious as it is a social networking type of game. I don't think that Paper Mario 3DS will have multiplayer although I wish it would, it'd be nice to be able to play Capture the Flag and all with friends in the Paper Mario Mushroom Kingdom.

Yea it would be quite awesome if kid ic did feature some sort of online play, whether it was competitive or coop

I watched a few videos of sin and punishment today, if kid ic is anything like that like some people are saying it is, its going to be amazing!

@TokyoRed I saw the latter video before. It was a terrible interview, mainly due to the terrible interviewer.

Man, I wish Iwata would talk about new hardware with me when we go out for dinner just the two of us. All he ever does is pester me with the usual "How was your day?" and then bicker about how I don't open up to him anymore when I say "Fine."
Pretty cool that the head honcho is still really personal with outside developers he once worked with. Mother 3 started the same way, though I think in a taxi not over dinner. Sounds like Itoi got snubbed in comparison.

Meh, he's just still annoyed that you didn't respond to his hourly Farmville invites.
She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong.
Lindsey Stirling is as awesome as She-Ra. Perhaps even more so.

I've heard of Kid Icarus before Brawl, so when Pit was in it I was pleasantly surprised. I started loving the character and the franchise once I played the game, and I was left anticipating a new Kid Icarus title. Playing the original Kid Icarus only made me want it more. It was challenging, but once you get out of the Underworld it gets a lot more fun. All you need to do is play through the Overworld level to find out. When this was announced, I cheered because my predictions had actually happened. Before that, most people thought the chances of Pit coming back were minimal at best. Now we are going in for a very fun game next year!

So what you're saying is that Kid Icarus is actually better later on? That sounds interesting.

It's surprising that Kid Icarus didn't show up on the 3DS launch software list for Japan. Hopefully it will be a launch title in NA.

This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare

That's right, the Overworld level has the layout of a Mario game and the shooting all the monsters mechanic is like a Metroid game. There's lots of enemies to defeat, and the level itself is fairly long. The Skyworld level is a cakewalk and relatively easy (although the fortress can be very hard) and the final level where you actually fly is pretty cool. It seems strange that Uprising will change the whole 2D idea, but at least it won't have the difficulty of old. It might just be trying to do something different.
@supernin10do: I was surprised too when it wasn't on Japan's list, but hopefully NA's will be a little different. Sakurai did say that he hoped for it to come out close to launch anyway.

Definite first-day for purchase for me (if I can even afford the 3DS).
