Topic: Kid Icarus: Uprising

Too bad he looks exactly the same as Pit. Would been nice if he was altered differently in looks so we could at least have another character for Smash Bros. 4

What about that guy with a giant sword in the E3 trailer? For a moment.. I thought it was some crossover with Fire Emblem, Xenoblade or The Last Story...

He's just a villain from what I can tell. There was a short clip of him attacking pit in the video shown at yesterday's conference.

That guy? With the sword? And has the beard (I thought he was on Pit's side).

Well I think he is like Han Solo and Lando Calrissian. Han and Lando really didn't show a concern for good until push came to shove. It seems to me as the fellow with the big sword says to the evil emperor on the 3DS eShop trailer 'Sorry but I have other business to attend to'. That leads me to believe that like Han and Lando, he has a pact or a debt to evil but once he sees the wickedness of evil he will bail out because it seems to me that he has an affinity for Pit and Paltuna.

I thought he was a good guy too. I'm guessing he's evil, since he attacks Pit, but once you defeat him he changes his mind and will show up again later in the game as a good guy. I could be wrong though.

Hmm....how can it be a mix of genres? It lacks RPG elements. the original 2 have always been scrollers.

It looks kinda repetive imo.

How so? All the enemies have different patterns and such that you have to adapt to or whatnot. Not seeing how it could be repetitive.

It's the gameplay. The only thing you do is to fight, on the ground or on the sky.
It just doesn't appeal to me very much. Perhaps they could add some puzzles though, or something to interact with.
But this is just from my point of view, and I'll probably get the game anyways.

This. I love the first two games, but Uprising just looks like a Kid Icarus-themed shooter.

Yea but if you ever noticed in the NES game, each area has its own set of enemies, so it does become repetative rather easily because you're not expecting to run into earlier enemies as much, and the 1s for that world obviously show up more often.
