Well if that isn't just buttercream frosting on an expertly crafted Greek mythology themed cake. And the trading cards were the raspberry filling. This game just can't come any sooner. I was already anticipating this game like a boss last year, but after this year's E3, I am foaming at the mouth (though not quite as much as Cerberus would. You know, having three heads and all...)

The game does keep looking better, however I don't remember hearing anything about the mulitplayer being online, at least not on the trailer anyway.

I can't see even Nintendo, in 2011, putting any emphasis on 3 on 3 multiplayer and not having it be online.

Agree on the randomness, looks cool...But it just feels out of place since this is a Kid Icarus title. It kind of seems odd ballish if you ask me. Ah well, could be pretty rad. But what has me upset is the major lack of Egg Plant Wizard goodness during the latest E3 Trailer. And where are those grim Reapers with that magical memorable tune?

I have to agree on this as well about the MP.
i wish they would open an english kid icarus website already!the multiplayer looks cool and confusing! loli am sure ill dig it though
Dude, honestly I'm just crossing my fingers so hard this bad boy sells enough on a level like Legend of Zelda or Metroid maybe, that it's considerable enough for future installments/sequelsto hold a potential franchise series, and not just for 3DS, but1 day Wii U maybe. I man, OK maybe plot-wise, Kid ICarus isn't exactly that particular type of experience......but who knows?

This wasnt a game on my gaming radar to start with but the trailers really do it justice and has definetly sparked my interest. Before I imagined it to be just a Sin & Punishment clone but the game looks so much more and the online play is a real big bonus. If the game is anywhere near as good as it looks in trailer then im sure it will be a day one purchase.

I completely agree, I don't want Kid Icarus to have a long-awaited sequel and then not come back for another 20+ years. They should make it into a real franchise with consistent sequels. I mean, imagine a game like Kid Icarus: Uprising in full HD? It'd be like God of War! But, at least we can look forward to Pit returning in Super Smash Bros. 4.
Having online is a big bonus for Kid Icarus: Uprising, but I don't remember Nintendo themselves or Sakurai saying it will have it. I think an official word about it would make me more assured.

I think Nintendo is trying to get a bit more serious and somewhat mature with this Kid Icarus. If those Grim Reapers don't make it in the game along with the Eggplant wizards I'll be pissed. Then again, there was a little nod to Pit being turned into an egg plant with that little Nes Chime at the end of the original KI: Uprising trailer...Why they never showed the eggplant wizard in the 2nd trailer blows my mind.
Yet at least those Flying eyeballs made it in the game, as they should have. Love those guys! Kid Icarus is one of my biggest NES gaming memories back in 89', and is one of my all time favorite Nes games. Sadly it flew under a lot of people's rador and it remains as a cult classic.
But anyways, I'm not too thrilled for multiplayer, as a matter of fact I'm not a big fan of online gaming to begin with. I find that it can get extremely addicting at times, and it almost feels lifeless....Then again it is, because for the most part you're playing some random dude across the world. Nothing beats the retro goodness of being with your buds in the same room having a blast taking each other on in Smash Bros. But i do enjoy some online gaming in short burst. I had a good time With Resident Evil 5's Vs mode, not to mention SSFII HD Remix as of late. ....Or I mean 2 years ago.lol

Um, what makes you think that Sakurai would be silly enough to cut Eggplant Wizards and Reapers from the game? That's like saying Miyamoto would cut Goombas and Koopas from Super Mario 3D. You should've seen the trailer earlier this year with the giant Reaper boss, so just because Reapers weren't in the latest trailer doesn't mean they were cut. The presence of Monoeyes ought to mean that they are still there. The Eggplant Wizard is a representative of Kid Icarus like the Goomba is for Mario. Don't worry yourself. I'm sure he'll get his own AR card!

You're most likely right, i guess it just annoys me that they're not exactly taking center stage, or at least in the recent trailer. The thing is, Kid Icarus isn't exactly an established franchise. This is only the 3rd title in the franchise, a franchise that is mostly overlooked depending and is more along the lines of being stuck in cult classic land, and the previous one Of Myths and Monsters came out back in the GB era...Which was ages ago!
But I'm guessing we'll be seeing a whole lot of new, along with the enemies we all know and love. The gameplay departure and change alone has me somewhat scratching my head. As rad as it looks, the gameplay is so radically different from the side scroller i loved and grew up with. Hopefully when another Icarus sequal comes out it will be more in tune with the original's gameplay.

Whether or not it is online, the multiplayer mode looks like a blast. If it is online, I hope that it isn't laggy like Super Smash Bros. Brawl (I think Mr. Sakurai would have learned from his mistake after hearing so many complaints).
I'm back (for the moment)!

The multiplayer will indeed be an exciting thing for me as I've never ever played a Kid Icarus installment in my life. Oh, and yes folks, I am looking forward to this Eggplant Wizard that you guys speak of as he sounds exciting to me!

Yeah, I haven't seen Nintendo say anything official about it having online. Still, the multiplayer trailer looks laggy enough for it to be online.

I played this game at a 3DS event before launch and was seriously impressed with it. It was a day one buy for me before multiplayer was announced. This announcement is just icing on an already delicious cake.
There's just far too many 3DS games I need to buy this year, I better get saving.

I have not yet decided whether to buy Kid Icarus or not but it's good to see that it contains good looking multiplayer mode. I have to keep eye on this game so I can finally decide if I get it, it's just that there's many other game I want more badly and I don't have endless amount of money.

It's a little intimidating, is it? That's not even counting Kirby Wii and Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword!
Knowing Sakurai, he would try to get online on this. Hopefully he'll learn from Smash Bros. Brawl and take his time making sure this online system will be as smooth as it can be. Did anyone else see the characters' names being those of common Kid Icarus enemies such as Nettler, Mick, etc? Maybe those might not be just tags but actual usernames you can type!

Ya know, this actually reminds me of way back that Super Mario 64 seemed to be missing a lot of oriiginal chars that shoulda been there to begin with. And since then it's like they've been slowing adding em back; Haven't seen Buzzy Beatle for a while (unsure who all was in Sunshine since i didn't really play that 1), Lakiitu was rather lacking a regular enemy role til Super Mario galaxy 2, Spinys kinda waited, too, the Hammer Bros......They've been kinda doin the whole family thing with each enemy since Super Mario Bros 3; You can pretty much tell by now which 1s are koopa-ish, anyway. Shoot, whatever happened to the Koopa Kids for that matter? But anywya yea, I'm not really worried about Kid Icarus: Uprising leaving out any representative enemies And now that I think about it, I wonder if maybe like within a week or release, or maybe the week of, if there's a chance we'll see the GameBoy release, of Myths and Monsters, on eShop Virtual Console.... Never played that 1 before.
