Topic: Kid Icarus on 2ds - hold on question

I am a little bit curious about Kid Icarus uprising and will probably buy somewhere in the future. There is a hold on added to the package, apparently to put the 3ds on it. My question is, does this work with the 2ds as well? - How does it generally feel to play KId Icarus? Do the controls get tedious?

Has any used the hold on thing for other games than icarus?

It is just a simple plastic stand so as far as I know you should be able to put your 2DS on it. I personally only used it for KI:U, Professor Layton, and Colors 3D.

Boo! I'm a ghost.

Don't use the stand, just go to settings and configure pits movement to a/b/x/y and the movement of the targeting reticle to the thumbstick.

Works fine with all models of DS.

Is that really better? Sounds weird to me to move the character with the right hand and shoot with the left hand... - the apparent control issue is the only thing that is keeping from a purchase... too bad I cant try it out somewhere

I never used the stand for its intended purposes. Holding the device in my hand worked pretty well.
Though it didnt go completely unused, as it is now my dedicated Vita charging stand

Yes, it is better and it's quite playable, it will take a few minutes to become accustomed to it, but soon enough you'll be golden.

Or wait for the New 3DS so you can use the cstick.

The c-stick will work like the Circle Pad Pro, so it will only work as a left handed option.
