I would love to see them remake/reimagine Of Myths & Monsters as a 2.5D sidescroller on the eShop. (similar to how Konami remade The Castlevania Adventure for WiiWare)

I actually preferred oMaM to the original, but out of the two, it'd probably be the one most needing of a remake (also since the NES game has already sort of been half way remade for the 3D Classics line).

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

I'd rather just find a colorized ROM then see a remake TBH. There are many GB games that need remakes first IMO like Metroid II.

For Kid Icarus I'd love to see a brand new game since it has far less games then Metroid or any other Nintendo franchise I can think of.

As far as a sequel to KI:U, it would be nice to have another game like KI:U, but I wouldn't mind a 2D game either. Maybe even a MIX of the two...? That would be pretty cool.

I feel like Kid Icarus will always play it safe if it even receives a sequel in the next decade.

It will be wasted potential. For the most part.

Just for you.

Yeah, that's what I think, too.

Kid Icarus should do more greek style game, like fighting the titans or killing Zeus.....oh wait that has already been done with God of War.
Kid Icarus is also in God of War, he has the best scenes in the game!

He doesn't, but I just enjoy watching him die

I'd have to agree that a sequel would be nice with the the new spin on it of characters and such. However, a new 2D game or a mix? Wouldn't that kind be like what they did with with Super Mario 3D Land, 3D modeling with (semi) scrolling game play? I'm not so sure I could picture how that would work.

^Way too ambitious. If this franchise was as big as Mario or something then I can see the game being like that, but really I'd rather have two separate titles, one 2D and one 3D.

If a retail sequel were to be made I'd want the gameplay to stay the same for the most part, but I'd want more exploration in the game while keeping the same fast pace. I'd also like to see some experimentation with the menus, like maybe an overworld with gates?

If it plays like Metroid Prime Hunters on the 3DS or the Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Wii U and gets rid of stamina which hinders the fast pace, then I would love to see a sequel to Uprising or another Kid Icarus of the same style.

Oh, as far as chapters go, definitely make more of them but make them much shorter. No chapter should last 20+ minutes.

Why the hell would you want a Kid Icarus game like MPH? That's a completely different style of game. The setting, the pace, the the atmosphere, etc; That's why Kid Icarus needs the flick mechanic (but let's not do this again)

And I actually want lengthier chapters. Not to the point of extreme where every chapter is like Chapter 19 but generally a much larger map for each level with more alternate pathways and such.

You misread. I said plays like. I don't believe MPH's controls are limited to just being great for first person titles, I think they could've worked really well for a third person shooter like Uprising. The flicking mechanic isn't necessary for a fast paced experience.

If they have save points, I wouldn't mind lengthier chapters, but 20+ mins straight should never happen again.

Wait, Kid Icarus doesn't have mid-chapter save points? Wow. I thought it did for some reason. Hope they put it into another game like KI:U, because replaying a chaper that long is indeed rediculous.

They have chexkpoints but not save points. I agree that those should be added.

But for an experience like Kid Icarus, yes the flick is absolutely necesessary. I'm not going to discuss this again due to fear of lock, I'll just say this as simply as possible. Enemies have low HP, and simple AI. However, they come in abundance, and projectiles fly everywhere, almost like a SHMUP in TPS format. And since they come on other sides, you need to turn very rapidly.

Like I always say, the only way to convincingly prove this is to let them experience it themselves. Go find a CPP, attach it, and set the controls to move with ABXY and aim with Circle Pad. Then try to play any level on 7.0 or higher.

Yeah, but that's awkward if you're left-handed... Granted, it's still pretty bad if you're using the CPP but not nearly as much.

You excluded stylus controls, which for these games, are the way to go. We can't test no flicking vs. flicking stylus controls within Uprising, as it unfornuately doesn't give both as an option. No flicking controls would be like Metroid Prime Hunters, which I find much better as I'm turning rapidly as well as maintaining solid accuracy. In Uprising, too often am I finding myself missing shots due to the flick to turn then tap to stop the turn mechanic. You clearly like those mechanics, so for a sequel or similar game, there should be an additional stylus control option that omits flicking. That way I can play my way, and you your's. I honestly would've liked Uprising a lot more had I been able to omit flicking.
