Topic: Just played 3DS at local Target store and....

I saw it in Target today but forced myself to ignore it. I want to be surprised tomorrow morning when I get mine.

I visited my local Gamestop today and got to try out some 3D Street Fighter. And yes, I found the 3D effect to pretty much be a gimmick. But it wasn't a bad gimmick, you people on page 2 are jumping to the conclusion that anyone who calls something a gimmick is a hater. Dictionary.com tells me that a gimmick is "an ingenious or novel device, scheme, or stratagem, especially one designed to attract attention or increase appeal." That sums up what I experienced playing street fighter, and please take the apple bashing elsewhere.

I'm not bashing on Apple. I'm bashing on the people who frankly kiss.. booty. Most of the time, when people say "Itsa gimmick!" they mean it in a NEGATIVE way. And gimmick is extremely overused. Seriously, it's THAT bad.

Gimmick as used with a negative connotation does not accurately describe the 3DS's 3D effect. I found it to add to the game experience. It certainly didn't make it worse.

That's enough. We don't need any bashing on the forums, whether you feel it justified or not.
