Hey folks, I have 41$ balance in my account and I am trying to buy luigi's mansion listed as 39.99.. but when I try to buy it, the checkout screen lists the game price as 42.50 and says I have insufficient funds.. the same happens when i try buying fire emblem instead.. what gives?

I'd assume that's the price after sales tax.

Its probably taxes. I'm sorry to say this, but if you want to buy Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon, you're going to have to live in a cheaper state.

@voljen1987 The only legal way for you buy the game with the funds you have right now is to travel to a city within a state without sales tax, then you will be able to buy the game for 39.99 and have 1.01 left in account.
That, or use a credit card to pay for the difference.

There are, but tax evasion is a pretty significant crime, and you're better than that, right?

Do what's right and give your home state that $2.50. After all, you do live there and all.
