I was pointing out that Mario games suffer the same "lack of innovation" as the COD games - ie both series change plenty up from one game to the next, but if you want to, it's easy to pretend they're the same game every time. Mario's new levels are no different to COD's new maps - you're doing the same thing each time with each new game, but you're doing it in a different context. it's completely unreasonable to say it's ok for Nintendo to do it, but Activision is somehow in the wrong for doing it in the COD series.
I have to disagree here. Super Mario Galaxy is way different than another game like New Super Mario Bros. Unless your talking about just the New Super Mario Bros. games then fair enough, but even those change more than the COD series.

The Call of Duty games are markedly different to one another. That was the point I was making, not that the Mario Brothers games are all the same.
But everyone knows that each COD is different. They don't make too many improvements and fix a lot of the problems in previous games, which is why COD is getting old.
Um... Do you even play CoD games? If you do, there's no way you can make this comment. Ha. Haha.
If it continued to go the direction of replacing good level design with explosions and a painfully dumb plot that MW2 used, it's an immediately valid point as far as I'm concerned.
But everyone whose opinion I take remotely seriously has said Black Ops is far better so I dunno.
More shooters? Who cares! We have Kid Icarus: Uprising. :3

They make a lot of improvements, but then they muck up somewhere else. For instance, before MW3 they said that Last Stand wouldn't be in the game... and then it was put in as a deathstreak... fail!
