I've been thinking it since the Circle Pad Pro came out... When are we getting a First-Person Shooter? I know a lot of FPSs aren't looked upon too kindly here on NintendoLife, but shouldn't we have one by now? I mean, even in the eShop when you want to do a special search, there's a First-Person Shooter tab, but nothing under it.
It doesn't have to be a huge hitter like Call of Duty or Conduit, but something to give developers an idea at least... I'm just glad the Wii U is getting Call of Duty Black Ops 2 near launch after this...
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
Unless if Renegade Kid decides to make one or Nintendo does a new Metroid Prime game on the 3DS, we probably won't see one worth waiting for for a while.
Best thread ever
Feel free to add me on Miiverse or PSN.
Miiverse is Moomoo14, PSN is Moomoo1405390
3DS Friend Code: 4940-5561-6002 | Nintendo Network ID: Moomoo14
I would like renegade kid to make a new dementium for the 3ds and also gameloft could make a port or new modern combat for the 3ds or n space make a shooter.
Dementium 3...D haha you get the joke (everyone is silent)
FPSes are in the air we breath. We don't want our 3DS air to be contaminated by FPSes as well.
Unless it's something like Metroid or X-Scape (hopefully Nintendo is working on a sequel for that)
I agree. We should definitely have a lot of variety, but for now, I guess we'll have to make do.
A. The DS had some fairly-decent First Person Shooters, even though they were limited without an analog stick (or two for that matter). X-Scape (tank shooter), Moon, Dementium II, COD (bleugh) and some others.
B. As probably mentioned, several third-person shooters allow for First-Person view, such as RE: Rev and KI: Uprising. It's not the same but it's all we got.
Also, The Conduit SHOULD NOT EVER be mentioned as a "high-profile" release. That game was laughably mediocre for all the unnecessary hype.

Screw you.
Sure, for most games, it's utterly pointless, but several games look a lot better with the 3D on (Mighty Switch Force, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Mutant Mudds, Steel Diver, etc;). And some games (or at least SML3D) actually required 3D for puzzles.

I want that FPS that isn't generic and is innovative, you know the one I'm talking about
Digitaloggery 3DS FC: Otaku1 WiiU: 013017970991 Nintendo of Japan niconico community is full of kawaii! Must finish my backlagg or at least get close this year W...
I would like an FPS on the 3DS (yes, even if it's COD). Also, while CPP support is a must, I see no reason why it would be required just to play.
KI:U's control scheme would work fine (Sakurai even said that why dual-stick control wasn't added to KI:U, was because it's users would be at an immediate disadvantage against players using the much more responsive control of the stylus).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
^Is there a reason you always choose to bash Nintendo, whether sarcastic or blunt? There's a difference between criticism of a company that you're on a fansite for and outright condescension.
And the plot may stay the same other then SMG, but the gameplay changes often, moreso then COD.
