Topic: Is the regular 3DS discontinued???

Hello to you all. I'd like to ask a question about the regular 3ds's. Are they discontinued because I just see the 3DS XL's everywhere, but not the regular 3DS. Oh, one more thing I'm new on here and I'm a HUUUGE fan of Nintendo. I came to the right site.

Of course not, why would they do that? It's just that the XL is more popular.

No. I bought one recently.

@Peter38 ... the regular ones may be more popular than the XL in your area, meaning they are planning to sell more XL than regular so they wind up with more XL, and run out of the regular ones. You may have to order it online in that case. This is one of the reasons online sales continue to grow while in store retail sales for many products continues to decline, they can't predict everything all the time.

Nope. It just seems like the regular 3DS is more popular in your area. In my area it is almost impossible to find the pink one. I have to go through literally 8 shoppers just the buy one for my wife when they were on sale for 100 bucks.

I think only the aqua blue one and the flare red one are the only ones that were discontinued.

Luckily for me, I still have my Aqua Blue. Sadly, he's broken, but if I can repair him, I'll transfer my data from my Cosmo Black back and we can keep on trucking.

Don't know what I'll do with the Cosmo Black afterward...

the 3ds console is still about. some colours can be hard to find. the first gen dsi is still about too

Nope. It's just from what I can tell, most people prefer the 3DS XL and simply don't buy the original designs.

It's not discontinued, but it's interesting that not even Amazon (Germany) sells it anywhere near the normal price currently.

It's not discontinued, but I do believe that Nintendo has probably scaled back production of them due to 2DS and the more more popular XL model.

I think only the aqua version is for some reason. Unless that was a rumor but I remember people saying the aqua one was no more a year or so back.
