We need to get up some user reviews in here. Are the load times that bad? How are the controls? Is driving a pain? Even with all these problems the scores don't seem too bad when you think about it!

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
Being that I don't have a Wii U, I haven't played Lego City Undercover for Wii U. I'm not a big stickler about loading times, I just heard it was waaaaay linear and with no voice acting, some of the humor gets lost from just reading all the text instead of "hearing" it.
I don't have a Wii u either so I was actually hoping this was going to be better then the Wii U version. I will still get it at some point but there is just no hurry now. Shame to as it had tons of potential!

I would definately get this game. I got it and it was a totally fun and great game. The reviews are way to harsh because they are to busy comparing it to the Wii U version rather than looking at it by itself on the 3DS. I had no issues with the game and would totally recommend it as a great game for all 3DS owners.

The reviews kinda threw me off too...but after buying this game the other day: It's one of my favorites! Best handheld Lego game I've ever played, and I own a few. Don't sleep on this game...super fun!
Well, over 29 hours later and I finally got 100%. Wish this game had DLC, since I'm still really into it and would love to play more. I'm sure I'll do another play-through eventually anyways.
Thanks, feels good. I really do think it's a decent enough game, plus it's just really refreshing to play an open world game on the 3DS. I want more games like that. Hopefully they make a sequel and it's even better.
@Hale-Bopp I agree....just beat the main story...at 25%, 9 hrs in.
Heh, that's almost exactly the same percentage I had when I finished the main story. I was like "whoa, so much more stuff to find yet!" I'm a sucker for stupid fetch quests in open world games.
I really enjoyed the game, im like 17% done and I've finished the storyline, the storyline I finished fairly quickly like within 10 hours, but there is a Boss battle each area, and the loading times dont seem so bad to me, I did time it and it was 40 seconds but the game hardly ever has you switch areas. The render distance wasnt bad for me but im used to tiny render distance on minecraft so that could be it. Driving wasnt even remotly challenging for me, and even if it is for you, you respawn in your car when it explodes. I liked it a lot and I'm going for 100% now.

Agreed, wonder what the review would be if the Wii U one didnt exist

Thank you for agreeing with me. Everyone that has played this game has loved it and I have seen no bad comments from people on forums that have played it. I have actually come across a few recent reviews that have applauded the game and gave it 8's out of 10. I am glad there is some respect for the great game. If it wasn't for the Wii U Lego City Undercover I believe all the reviews would be alot greater than they are. It's so sad to see harsh reviews scare some people off of some good games like this one.

It seems like a great game with nice graphics on the 3ds, but the one thing that bothers me is the traffic sounds. They sound like they are slowed down about 10 times more than they should be. Does it sound normal to you, is there something wrong with my 3ds? All the other sound effects sound normal, just the traffic noises are slowwwwwwww sounding.
