Go for it, you can streetpass between the two.

Failing to plan is planning to fail.

I currently have two, but only because one of them broke.

At the moment, my Aqua Blue baby is sitting in my trunk in it's box. I plan to send it in for repairs once I've saved up enough dosh, but I'm not sure if I'm going to get rid of the Cosmo Black 3DS I bought as a replacement. Having 2 3DS systems is certainly beneficial to me, but I'm upset that I'm limited on System Transfers...

I dunno. If you're clumsy, having two will be great. Otherwise, go with one.

I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite

I'm on YouTube.

I have two, a normal and an XL. Both of them work. I am keeping my Cosmo Black because it is my first handheld and also because it is an Ambassador system. The second one is the Pokémon XL (the blue one) that I bought to have a limited edition machine. As such, it never leaves my house, so whenever I am out, I take the black one.

What I do with game card based games is to alternate systems. For downloads everything is in the old one. The multiplayer option is an advantage too, although I have not used it.

So if you can afford it, go for it.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

What about getting a XL and give your old one away to a best friend to introduce him/her to Nintendo greatness? Win-win?

And then the friend sells it to buy a PS4

Humb ba dum. If I give my 3DS to a friend with the intention of introducing him to Nintendo and he sells it, I'm gonna give his face a knuckle tattoo.

If you are not a collector or don't play games that are only available in other regions then no, it's not worth it.

I only have an XL right now but since I'm starting to study Japanese I'll probably invest in a Japanese 3DS once I get proficient enough to understand some of the more text heavy JP Only games.

Nah. My second one is just in a drawer collecting dust. I only use my XL.

I've thought about it. I've had my 3DS since launch, and it's worn. It still functions fine, but part of the battery hinge is cracked.

I'm holding hope that the 2DS XL New 3DS XL will get a big price cut when they get discontinued. Then I'll probably snag one for the added features, etc. As is, I've held out.
