Topic: Is Cubic Ninja still a sought-after title?

I have no use for mine since I transferred everything from my newer XL to my old one to trade in towards the N3DS.

Is it still valuable enough to say, trade on Craigslist for a Lucario amiibo?

You should sell it for $5 because if you ask for any more than that you will be a scalper. It is an old game that many people want to get their hands on, but according to most of the people on this website you will be a slimy creep if you make money off selling it!

Okay lets go with a more productive answer. No, going off ebay prices the Lucario Amiibo is more valuable than Cubic Ninja. But that is not to say that it's not worth a shot, someone may consider it a fair trade, particularly if they can get the Lucario at retail price.

That's an iffy subject. I would understand if TeeJay sold the game for $30, maybe a few more. This is a collector's item and a hard to find opportunity. It's not worth the same value of 2 Kit Kats.also, isn't the point of scalping is to make a profit by selling the game at a higher price? What if TeeJay bought the game for more than $5 (which is more likely than not)?

But the game is old. People here believe old games lose value and should be sold for less than what you paid for it...well...unless THEY are the ones selling the game!

That said, sell it for no less than $20-25. You should be able to at least get that much for it.

I actually got the game for exactly $5! I got real lucky and got one before Gamestop became wise to its value.But I guess the point of how much I got it for is moot, because I don't want to sell it, I really want to trade it for an amiibo. Lucario is preferable since it's an exclusive, but if I can't get that I'll settle for Pit or Captain Falcon.

You will have more success selling it for cash than finding someone who wants to trade you a specific amiibo for it.

People collecting amiibos seem to be hardcore Nintendo fans, and I'm not sure they are the same people who are interested in hacking their 3DS and playing pirated ROMS using Cubic Ninja....

Cubic Ninja's trending at around $15-20 on ebay right now depending on condition. You could make a few good bucks off of it, but nowhere near enough to trade for the insane amiibo prices.
...unless the amiibo in question is not sealed. Then it might be a fair deal.

On the other topic of conversation:
There's a big difference between flipping and scalping.
One is buying something somebody doesn't want for cheap and selling it at market price, and the other is artificially inflating demand by clearing out stock.

I couldn't care less if it's sealed or not, as long as it's in good condition and fit for display/use. I honestly don't want to sell it.

Most hardcore collectors rip the games from their cartridges legitimately and play them on emulators so they don't damage the original.

Those same people seem to be ok with buying reproduction cartridges (i.e commercial bootlegs sold at RRP) which makes the opinion a bit hypocritical.

I am not buying any amiibo's until software exists to backup and restore amiibo data. (Probably using the standalone portal thing for the old 3DS's).

Yes but using your logic why by Style Savvy when it looks like a flash game you can play for free.

Here in Europe the price for Cubic Ninja has gone back down from about €40-60 to about €5.
My guess is that the homebrew stuff once made possible by Cubic Ninja probably doesn't work anymoer or something along the lines.
But yeah, it's not expensive or sought-after at all anymore.
