Didn't some DSi hackers try to port the MP3 format onto the system and then got shut-down by Nintendo updating the DSi Firmware so that it was near impossible to do without buying a DS hacking cartridge?

Hey I had that Idea a bit back too. I think I even said it. but yeah playing animal crossing with something like .... hmmm " like a boss" well that would be hilarious, oh or Living in the sunlight while playing resident evil. Look that song up
On the psp there was a homebrew application like this, but since it wasn't made by Sony, it wasnt perfect with all games. I wish it was more like xbox360, in that when you choose what song you want to listen to, it mutes the in game music so you can enjoy your tracks.
I would love to be able to listen to my own music while playing games, especially something like ridge racer or mario kart. Or fighting games especially.
Wouldn't you love the idea of playing a game on the 3DS while playing your favorite mp3's?

Looking forward to The Conduit 2 and CoD: Black Ops for DS For really cool avatars for a forum, go here! http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Callsigns/Emblems
Only for certain games, I say. Like Animal Crossing, or games where music isn't vital in the enjoyment of the experience.
Yeah, same here. but some games like SMG2, I like to hear Music of the Game its self
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
Well in games like Cave Story, World of Goo, Henry Hatsworth, and Toki Tori, the music not only adds to the experience but is my favorite aspect of it. I like those soundtracks enough to listen to them on my iPod when I'm not playing the games, which I suppose is sort of the opposite of your suggestion.
The cool thing about them giving us this option would be, the people who don't want to use it dont have to, and the people that do can. Pretty much a win win situation, hopefully it will be implemented, either from the start or a firmware update.
Considering a lot of the background music in the majority of games isn't loud enough to block out any annoying passengers on public transport, I'd love to be able to play some loud fun music while playing my DSi. Those people who, like me, don't have a mp3 player would appreciate the usefulness of such a feature more than others.
I enjoyed that aspect of Excite Truck as well, but only for games like that would I want to listen to my own music. Doing it for any other kind of game might ruin the experience for me.
(Also, a lot of my music consists of VG music from other games, so it might be wierd... >.>)
I'm working on a game that's coming out soon! Cipher Trailer
