Welcome back Waltz! So, how was Japan? What can you tell us about those Tecmo Koei games that you bought?
Oh, I got Nobunaga's Ambition on DS and PS3 Romance of the Three Kingdoms on DS Samurai Warriors 3: Empires on PS3 And a dating game thing special edition for $20.
I also picked up Dragon Quest Collection on the Wii.
Welcome back, I can imagine you got enough japanese (as if there was other kind) dating games for the next 3 months now! Though Love Plus for 3DS sounds very interesting, too bad it hasn't released yet.
I would love to visit Japan some day, next time you go stop the plane here (after taking half a world of a detour) so I can glue myself to the wing.
Sounds like you got some cool stuff there Waltz. I had a feeling that you would come home with something from Tecmo Koei. That is awesome that you managed to pick up the Dragon Quest Collection for Wii. I am dying to play that so hopefully it will be released outside of Japan.

It was very very easy to pick up Dragon Quest goodies in Japan right now. That game especially is EVERYWHERE. It's awesome.
Do you understand Japanese, or are you planning to learn it or anything?
I don't have the time at the moment, but I'd love to learn it to be able to import some titles that look interesting - the lack of region locking on the DS makes it especially attractive for me.
I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.

I have a rough understanding of it. I can get by in basic games, and more or less understand the more complex stuff, like RPGs.

Nice. I'll have to enrol for some adult education classes or something in the future - I've done a couple before and they're pretty good - enough to get you started, at least.
I've got a copy of Ni No Kuni that I bought mainly for the awesome book it came with but won't bother opening it until I learn some Japanese

I'm lucky enough to have someone to practice on. I've never had formal education in Japanese, but whatever works for people.
I just got back from japan too, about a month ago, and believe me it is one of the best countries i have been to, which is no small feat. (And i am not just saying that 'cause i love nintendo and one piece!)
@waltzElf Am i the only one who finds walking through a japanes game shop torture? Seeing games like Prof layton 4 and 5, the last story, Xenoblade ( It wasn't out in aus at the time), and Gyakuten Kenji 2 right in front of you, but knowing you can't have' em. (unless you know japanese of course.)

This is why I buy Japanese consoles (if they're region locked). There are way too many good games to ignore in Akihabara. So not torture in the slightest. In fact, massively exciting

When I have money and if I ever travel, I'd keep my american one and buy a Japanese one, definitely in another colour. Games can vary based on region, plus I wouldn't want to endup with suffering from not sharing download play.
