getting around japan (or at least tokyo) isn't really that hard if you don't speak japanese. just get an english subway map to find your way. many hotels have english speaking people, and almost everyone has at least rudimentary english ability because its a required subject in school there. also, almost every restaurant has a picture menu, so if you had to, you could just point to what you want.
I beg to differ. When I was in Japan with no understanding of the language I found it very difficult to get around.
Admittedly I was in non-tourist places, where the signs stop being in English, but unless you are a tourist sticking to the specially marked roads and maps, Japan is a devil of a country for non-natives.
Kind of off topic, but, people don't know what taffy is? It isn't anything I thought was out of the ordinary, but that's probably because I have been living on a tourist attraction my entire life and I see Salt-Water taffy everywhere.
Taffy isn't exactly everywhere if you don't live in the US. I've never seen it on sale in Australia or Japan. Not saying it isn't sold here, I'm sure you can get it somewhere, but it's not supermarket candy, either.
As for the rest of you for derailing this beautiful topic with silly commentary: 1) Spend some time in Japan before you start making silly comments about Japanese culture. 2) Love Plus isn't a Hentai game.

Nah, Im on my cell phone, so it double posts. Sometimes, I forget to add stuff so I edit the post and stuff. But yeah, things get double posted and I go back and make changes. I'm waiting to get settled in Orlando in my own home with internet and everything. It's hellish here.

Nah, in both cases the guys had to go to some random, weird place that would actually allow it. Japan doesn't allow you to legally marry electronics or whitegoods.

Being completely frank here. I would rather someone's psychological problems convince them they love their fridge enough to marry it, than convince them they should go on a gun shooting rampage.
The former doesn't affect anyone but the person involved.
Random unrelated question: Why is stuff in Japanese magazines like the Circle Pad add-on reveal in Famitsu written in English ("Secret Scoop!")? We don't have Japanese writing in our American mags.
because Japan likes random Engrish for no reason (maybe something relevent to post-WW2 Japan, I dunno?). To be fair, it's still far superior than when english anime fans say KAWAII BAKA DESU.
