I should have got a Neo Geo (And probably a Saturn as well) instead of an N64 (That was about the first time I had the means to do it).
One thing I cannot put up with is 30fps and games that try to hold your hand through a really dull movie type experience.
Don't see why there cannot be some games with a reasonable difficulty where you progress by practice bit at a time. (That is why I don't like the 3DS Retail games - exceptions being Nano Assault EX and Kokuga if you count them). Cannot see current games being reasonable unless I get something like Dementia later in life. Less bothered about them being amazing than pretty good not glitchy and 60fps.
There again the first time I got the Ultra Sword in Kirby Wii for about 5 seconds I had a feeling I have not had for a very long time. (Didn't get anything like it from Mario Galaxy or any of the Modern Zelda's / Sonic Generations anything else).
“30fps Is Not a Good Artistic Decision, It's a Failure”
Freedom of the press is for those who happen to own one.
Had a Wii U... Rushed straight back to my 3DS. Man, that console has like no games, I should have waited until 2014 when games actually start being released. Come on Nintendo, you can't be that far behind on making HD games can you? Yikes...
Wait until a bit later this year or early next year. Cause we don't know what's being released for the 3DS in 2014 (or at least, most of what's being released then), so there could just as well be some amazing new 3DS title we haven't heard about. Like say, Metroid for 3DS. Or Advance Wars. Wario Land 5. Maybe even something else that's interesting like Metroid or Star Fox.
I'm 29 and i always gravitate towards whimsical, charming, vibrant, child-like and fantasy filled experiences, always have! Never followed the silly 'big kid crowd' who labled consoles like the N64 kiddy(The NES,SNES & Genesis from my experience were never labeled kiddy at school), i played what i enjoyed! Anybody who feels like they have to prove their masculinity through video games has some serious insecurity issues. It's beyond silly. We're not gonna live forever, play what you like, do what you enjoy and funk the rest. The real world can be very bland, videogames are a form of escapism, like movies they're fantasty for the most part. I need a little joy in my life, that's where NIntendo comes in.
Ahem, Klonoa(wii) made me feel like a kid again, i had a peter pan moment with that one.
Don't sell the 3DS. Keep the 3DS and buy a Wii U for the full Nintendo experience! They are both great systems with stellar games available on them and on the way. The 3DS is one of the best portable gaming systems ever. Don't give that up!
Games I'm playing currently: Legend of Zelda: A Link Betweeen Worlds, Tearaway
Games I'm excited for: Super Mario 3D World, Super Smash Bros. 4, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8

I've played a lot of major releases on my 3DS except for a few titles like Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Pokemon X/Y, and of course the new upcoming Zelda: ALBW. Didn't buy the new Pokemon because I'm not into RPG's like that. (Well um, Fire Emblem Awakening was great.) Don't plan on buying the new Zelda because I don't like 2D Zelda games....well that do seem like a crappy, maybe I should give it a chance but I don't know.
There really aren't any 3DS I'm excited for. When I bought my 3DS back in 2011when I was 16, I really wanted a new Kirby game on the go. The new upcoming Kirby game seems cool, but next year I'm going to be 19 and no longer interested in games like that. So it's likely I won't be getting that.
Well while writing this topic something came to my head..."Nintendo is full of surprises you moron!". Ah so that's why I'm gonna keep my 3DS! Plus I'm gonna get the 3DS version of Smash Bros too!
But for now, all of my money is going to my Wii U! Can't wait for Super Mario 3D World, Xeno 2, Smash Bros, and more! Man, I need a remote plus and a pro controller! Anyone know where I can get em for the low-low?? Lol.
Thanks for reading this guys! Feel free to give me feedback! I wanna know what you all are thinking!

Yeah, I have been gaming it up to the max on the awesome WiiU dudes while the 3DS has been a Game Gear emulator while I pinch off my poop on the bogger. So just a quick summary of my massive wall of text... WiiU is my ultimate everything device, 3DS has become my Game Gear/Megadrive poop machine
Usually there is a bit of a swinging effect in your taste in type of games. As you grow up you get this "got to play mature games" mentality and then hit this magical tipping point where that no longer matters and you just play any game you enjoy. Of course that speaks generally about growing up, you are far more concerned about how others perceive you in your younger years.

Nah, the 3DS is on a serious roll, whereas the Wii U is only just getting started. If Nintendo doesn't delay too many of its big releases, the system will start looking pretty attractive by 2014, though.
me too I'm 19 and I walk around with a Kirby pin on my bag and brag how Kirby was my first game ever and how I still play it all the time everytime someone asks about that pin and no one disrespects me(at least not because I'm a Kirby fan )

@X-Factor what you need to do is balance if you keep bouncing from "kiddie" games to "mature" games you'll always get tired of one of them. play all types regardless, this way it's far easier to keep playing. no one will judge you if you play some Kirby every now and then. and the 3DS will have Ironfall soon that's in no way a kiddie game and that only to say an upcoming game the 3DS has many more "mature" oriented games than WiiU at the moment that you can be sure.
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn
