Topic: I need help finding an old game for the Nintendo DS

There's a game that I've played a long time ago. This is all from memory so I hope it isn't too vague. It's a game for the DS. You create a character and you're given a gun that can collect different elements from different objects. You give the elements to a scientist and with the elements the scientist makes new items. The game is very cartoony and colorful.
