I just want to say how amazed I am at this little New Nintendo 3DSXL. I remember playing Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 for about 5 minutes several years ago in a mall and I immediately knew I wanted one of these someday.

I normally do not have Nintendo hardware issues but getting a defect free New Nintendo 3DS XL was quite the struggle. The first one had a single dust speck under the screen that I couldn't knock free. The second one had significant signs of use but the third one was just perfect!! I've read a lot of people complaining about dust under their screen, hopefully I can save myself from that.

For some reason, even though I have an enormous backlog I had the itch to grab a 3DS XL, which I was able to score for $130 because Best Buy screwed up another order of mine. I then picked up pretty much ALL the 3DS titles I want to play from a single eBay listing: Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Yoshi's New Island.

I was super annoyed after I discovered the system doesn't come with a AC Adapter so I picked that up along with screen protectors and THE BEST ACCESSORY EVER: http://tinyurl.com/jllauuw (if the link doesn't work search Amazon for "New 3DS XL Grip 2").

Seriously, that grip adapter is amazing. I'd never play without it. Its so comfortable and my hand has never cramped.

Now I'm on the hunt for Yoshi's Island DS, New Super Mario Bros DS and Starfox 64 3D when the price drops.

I've just recently discovered NSMB DS, Wii and Wii U are all different...so even more to play!

Finally, one last note. Nintendo really adds value to their Mario games. I just finished all the levels in Super Mario 3D Land and collected all the star coins and guess what I discover...the special levels! What a treat. I beat the game and I'm only half done. (less if I want to play them all again with Luigi...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, all their 'unique' qualities aside, Nintendo really knows how to do things right when they try. They are the best!

I just wanted to share. I'm literally grinning at all the Mario games I have to play.

You are so right!
Nintendo games are awesome - well, most of them. While I disagree with many of their choices and policies I think their games more than make up for it
